A citywide scavenger hunt in San Luis Obispo! Millie Mullins, San Luis Obispo socialite and leader of the Millie Mullins Gang, is infamous for her extravagant speakeasy soirees. She plans to open her newest speakeasy, The Moxie, tonight, but that’s not going to happen if the coppers have anything to say about it. There was a murder committed outside Puzzle Effect, the hottest joint in town, and the police are pinning it on Mullins. Luckily, she has a friend on the inside. Detective Bosco will clear Mullins’ name in time for her new speakeasy to open if you can deliver the names of all four thugs who committed the crime, plus the name of the victim. Can you solve the mystery in time for Millie’s opening night party at The Moxie? Play competitively when two teams of four book the same time slot!

The puzzles were pretty good. However a couple clues didn’t color match the environment which threw us off. The backpack and equipment was pretty worn down. Some puzzles didn’t really involve the environment which made me feel like “why did I have to walk all the way over here to solve this?” It was ok.

This was our first outdoor "escape room," so we weren't sure what to expect. Overall, it was fun and allowed us to get outside and explore town on a nice day. If you want to try something different while getting to explore the town, I recommend it. I'd also try an outdoor "escape room" again.
40 escape rooms
I did this with my friend and her 8 year old daughter. I’m glad she brought her daughter because without her, we would have been so bored and finished in under 20 minutes. The day was salvaged by the 8 year old’s enthusiasm for her first escape experience. However, I have to rate the room low because there just isn’t that much here. 7 simple codes and only some of them actually require that you go to various locations.
We jumped over at least one puzzle because it was solvable before the story intended.

It’s a good way to explore the town, but overall the puzzles were either very simple or just over the top hard or confusing.
You’re in the city, so it is immersive. The flow was ok.
The props were basic, which is to be expected on a walking escape room. That said: the puzzles ranged from way too easy to horribly difficult. With many clues needed to figure out three of the puzzles due to confusion
The staff was great.
