Hoping to earn some extra cash, you have volunteered for an experimental drug trial. After taking the drug, you are told you will forget everything that has happened in the last hour unless you can locate the antidote. You’re not quite sure why, but things start to feel familiar. You start to suspect it is not the first time you’ve done this. How long have you been here? Will this be the time you finally get to the end or are you doomed to repeat the cycle forever…?

I found this one severely too easy. We had solved the puzzles in our room before the tv finished the explanation. The beginning set up is novel and the story is a good one. Though this room was a lot of locks (not many higher tech puzzles). I only give it a thumbs down because practiced solvers may find this too easy as it was obvious which puzzles go to which locks. This is a good room if you want one you are guaranteed to complete.
The game was puzzles and locks. Nice because it wasn’t linear but the puzzles were too easy in most cases
Liked the setup but feel it could have gone further with the puzzles

Really enjoyed this room, it’s the second one we’ve done at Puzzle Effect and this one was fantastic (not that the other one wasn’t, just wasn’t as good as this one)! Our GM Kira was super nice and helpful. Hints were given at just the right time, and every puzzle was just tough enough to work out our brains and be so satisfying when we solved it. Really great room, can’t wait to do another one here!
We’ve done a similar room at another location (with the being separated thing) but the puzzles in this room were so different and fun, very unique and nothing that we’d seen before in other rooms.
Love the theme of an experiment and sterile white and black rooms, I also really liked the one puzzle with the things in the lockers (no spoilers on that one) cause when I realized what it was it felt so satisfying to solve.
Kira was wonderful!

Like I said, we’ve done another very similar room where you’re taking part in an experiment in a mental hospital/medical environment where you’re separated into two rooms, so I was worried that one would end up being a dupe of the other, but at the same time the puzzles were different and interesting and made this room stand out from the other one (and in turn made that room stand out from this one).
I got chills at the reveal of the experiment and thought it was really cool and a bit creepy. I wish the ‘plot’ had been a little more integrated in the room with notes and whatnot, but it was still good.

Did it with three, I feel like four (two for each room) would be the most ideal.

One lock was left not reset but it was the only thing in the entire room—we were trying to figure out what a code went to and they came on and told us they’d forgotten to reset it, so it was no problem!

Really cool room. Started separated and had to work together. Very interesting puzzles that were fun to work through. The game master sent clues to you automatically which was intrusive and not wanted.

Fun room with 6 people. Clues were a little too easy. We all left the place largely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this for experienced players.

If you've been to Puzzle Effect, you can sometimes peek into rooms while walking to your Escape Room. We saved Amnesia for our last Puzzle Effect room, and had peeked in numerous times, never really knowing the twist! Your group is broken into two rooms and you have to work your way back together. Genius!
Flowed well, although we found ourselves double checking each teams work!
Seemingly stark white rooms with an interesting gameplay.

Amnesia exceeded my expectations with its split-start concept and non-linear progression, it was quite a unique and engaging challenge. The well-designed puzzles allowed us to split up and solve tasks independently, with a few requiring teamwork through a unique communication barrier. This room was a standout to me. Definitely one of the best split-start rooms I have done. Highly recommended!

This one was pretty fun with the right group. You start off in two separate rooms and then join into one. It's a pretty tricky one and there's not much communication that can be done between the two rooms except a little window. I thought that this room was pretty easy, but some of my friends found it to be pretty hard. The storyline is okay, but at the end of the day, it was a good one. Would recommend.
Bland, but that's necessary

The story wasn't great and the escape was anticlimactic but it's satisfying to know we did it

Excellent room! Great flow. Dual rooms to start but doesn’t last too long. Good mix of puzzles for both groups and individuals so everyone can keep busy. Only disappointing thing is that the escape is a bit anticlimactic but everything else was perfect.
