Master Diaphugius is the greatest name in wizardry in a handful of generations, and he selected you to be his apprentices. You’ve survived alchemical mishaps, recovered from embarrassing transmutations, and braved quests for all manner of exotic ingredients (not to mention the countless runs for tea leaves). But all those headaches, the long nights, and the singed eyebrows have brought you to this ... your final test. Diaphugius has left you alone in his tower with a single mission. His favorite familiar, the cat Mikla, has gone missing. You have been given one hour. If you can find her before your master returns, he will give you your very own spellbook and the title of ... Assistant Wizard!

5 escape rooms

Very good room, would definitely recommend

Gameplay

Really good and varied puzzles, with the ability to work on multiple puzzles in parallel

Atmosphere

The set was great, the last room was a bit plain, but everything else was very thematic and immersive

Customer service

Very good GM, the staff was very welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked in

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

We were given wands that we used to interact with a lot of elements.

Story

It was good, the theme was mostly in the atmosphere and set design

Difficulty

Hard

Challenging, but nothing required a huge leap in logic

Game tech

High tech

Very few traditional locks, mostly puzzles were electronically controlled, and the wands interacted with many things to give clues

Ideal number of players

3

Definitely doable at 2 with enough that 3-4 wouldn’t feel crowded

Scary

Not scary

Was anything broken?

No

Some of the paint could have used a touch up

Accessibility

Vision would be a problem as most puzzles had a visual component. Color blindness would be a major problem. We had to be on our knees for a few minutes for a puzzle. Sounds were often part of the feedback, but it was often accompanied by visual cues

This room was fun! We finished with 15 minutes left and did not need any hints. It kept our interest the whole time for sure. Environment was great too

Cute room, has some cool tech effects/props. Nice blend of old school “search the room for clues” style but also updated fancy electronic solves. Nothing was broken, which is always a plus.

Dylan the GM was very friendly throughout. The puzzles were well integrated into the rooms, and varying degrees of difficulty. Mostly linear game play. Glad we went, it was a good time.

Some of the puzzles were fun and unique, but some were not super obvious what exactly we were supposed to do. The flow from puzzle to puzzle didn’t feel very natural. The difficulty level was not high, but trying to figure out what some of the puzzles were was not clear without hints. One or two of the puzzles took a long time to do. The room was in good working order and designed well, we just wish the flow was a little smoother.

Very fun game and one of the best rooms for a group on 7 people! There were puzzles that were made easier with team work and enough puzzles for multiple people to work on at the same time. Which is GREAT! Really cool themed and use of tech wands. lots of magic and well-themed!

I'll be totally honest... I arrived late and came in when my friends were already half-way through with this room. I'd try it again, I don't remember much about the puzzles. The atmosphere was good, though, that much I can tell you.

Completed in 2019. I can't remember much of the puzzles except that some areas in the room were showing wear and tear. The theme persisted throughout the room, but the driver of the plot did not. 7.5/10

I loved the overall atmosphere and story of the room. I thought it was very playful and lighthearted! I was split on the puzzles in the room. Some of them were so unique and fun to solve. Others felt tedious and difficult to solve without some form of a clue pointing you in the right direction. I disliked the clue system. I found it to be a bit redundant to walk over to the machine and push the button. It was pretty clear the game masters either were not paying attention or are running multiple games at once because it took a while after the button to receive a clue. I think this is why they have you push the button rather than just raising your hands because the game masters do not have eyes on you the entire time. Overall it was fun, but the clues did make it a little less enjoyable of an experience.
