Dr. Trott's Apothecary

The company is still around, but this game is no longer offered. This was an interesting game, historic for several reasons. First off, as the game progressed, there were several historic facts about Charleston that you incorporate into gameplay. (Ack! Learning!) The set design was ok, the whole thing taking place in a "museum" and the whole storyline ended up being actually great, as you free a captive mermaid! Also, as you might tell from the picture, this was the first (and to date, only) time we took our daughter with us into an escape room. From the picture, you can tell that she was the only one who didn't have a good time! 🤣

Many familiar puzzles, good room for beginners - storyline (based in a true and ridiculous story) was a nice touch. Staff was outstanding

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and storyline plus charleston historical angle. Game was pretty easy and we were honestly surprised when we got to the final piece bc we anticipated more gameplay. Some unique puzzles and staff were super nice. Will be back!

This was definetly one of the most stunning rooms visually. We felt transported back in time and had an amazing time. 8 was a little too many people, but we all had a good time anyway.

One of the cools things about this company is that they only use props that would have been historically accurate to the time you “travel back to”. That means it’s very mechanical and interesting. It’s a cute concept, but not our favorite style. Overall a decent room and would recommend to people who like mechanical games!

Cool place to grab a drink and do an escape room! Not a super challenging game but an interesting story.

Fun theme, but had some faulty puzzles. Overall good game and they have a cool lobby with table games and a bar.
