The year is 1943, the place New York City. Everywhere you go the city is bursting with life and excitement, but beneath the glitz and glamour there are dark powers at play. You have recently joined the Tri-State Trio Mafia, but an undercover detective threatens to put the entire organization behind bars. Can you find all his evidence and destroy it before the police catch you?

Overall did not like the rooms we did at this location. When we exited our first room, the GM was nowhere to be found and we ended up waiting in a hallway for 4 min staring at the station they should have been sitting at. They were also offering promotions for free games but only if you leave a good review. Which would explain the overwhelming positive reviews. The location also doesn’t seem safe as there are many groups of homeless people and police activity (when we were there)

Gameplay

Most triggers didn’t seem to work and took a lot of time. Wasn’t really fun, puzzles and room felt like it was just out of a box and not maintained

GM didn’t seem to know what they were doing and wasn’t really paying attention to us in the room. Especially when we asked clarifying questions for puzzles.

My husband and I do escape rooms all the time and this room by far is one of the hardest. I love how they put rooms together and make us think outside of the box. We already want to play another room here!

This is the 3rd room we have done at this location. All 3 have virtually identical sets. You start in one cold abandoned class room with no personality and then move to another cold abandoned feeling room. Another thing all 3 have in common is that there is a complete failure to provide enough to interact with or piece together to determine what you’re supposed to be doing. Nearly nothing is related to anything else. GMs are also not helpful. We asked for a clue and were told to do literally what we had been doing to no success. When we advised the solution wasn’t working the response was “well guess you haven’t solved it yet”. Area surrounding this place is also sketchy. Did not feel comfortable/safe there.

Gameplay

This is not a hard room because the puzzles are creative and out of the box or too clever. This is a hard room because they put a lot of elements that are unrelated to the theme and there is no way to determine what you’re supposed to interact with until you get closer to the end.

Atmosphere

Feels and looks old and beaten down. All of their rooms feel like cold abandoned class rooms.

Really hard puzzles because they were based on nothing and were unconnected a lot of the time. The props were malfunctioning, the set seemed old… hopefully they refurbish it

This was definitely tough. I liked the difficulty, but be warned they give you basically nothing to go on. You really have to put things together and assume stuff in order to progress without clues. It's also very dark and hard to see some important stuff. So that makes it even more challenging, but not in the fun way. Overall, i give it a thumbs up though just because it did have interesting tactics
