De Illusionist [The Illusionist]

Good game with decent set design and mostly great puzzles. By far the most memorable puzzle in the game is the only one they remove if you're not moving quickly enough - so hustle just to make sure you can see this - it's the reason to play this and it should be fairly obvious by its uniqueness which one I mean (I'm also happy to tell you offline). There's a logic puzzle toward the end which is extremely easy and overstays its welcome (12 steps of "D goes on X, place C next to D, place B on the other side of C"). A lackluster end to an otherwise great puzzlefest.

I played this room when it originally opened and recently replayed it. I was very surprised to see that it had moved to a new location. The puzzles are now spread across multiple rooms, and several new ones have been added. It’s a fun room with plenty of puzzles. Afterwards, I heard that we were given an extra puzzle that they only keep in the game if they see the players are moving fast enough; otherwise, they can skip it. Personally, I thought this was the best puzzle in the room, so it’s a shame that it sometimes gets skipped. The story sounds promising, but it more or less disappears as soon as you start playing. That’s unfortunate, because magic is a great theme. Especially if you’re expecting some kind of show element, it’s disappointing when that doesn’t really materialize. Conclusion: a very strong puzzle-focused room, but don’t expect too much from the story.
