The world has already ended. The promise of mutually assured destruction wasn't enough to stop the superpowers of the USA and the USSR from unleashing their nuclear arsenal. Now there is only desolation and waste. But there's still hope. Small bands of survivors have emerged into the wasteland; the human race survives by a thread but the rebuild has begun. Still, the threat of destruction lingers on. In the wasteland, a madman has taken control. He believes that the human race is a disease and the only way to save the world is to finish the work of our predecessors and wipe the human "parasite" from the face of the earth. He has gathered an army, found the last Nuclear Vault and flipped the doomsday switch. You are part of a small band of survivors who have infiltrated the Vault, and it is up to you to cancel the launch and stop the apocalypse. Can you save what's left of the world? Can you escape the Vault with the madman's army closing in? Survival is not guaranteed.

The Vault was the first of our experiences at Escape Rooms Canberra and boy did it blow me away. From the beginning you feel transported into the world as the set design is absolutely stunning. Based in a wasteland bunker kind of situation your job is to save the world from ending... again. Every puzzle we had to complete was very in world and thematic and with every solve we bought further and further into the environment around us. Some extremely creative puzzles alongside very fun moments of discovery and theatrics, we had a ball the entire time. I only wish that the storyline was either read out by the GM or played over the speakers prior instead of just written on posters in the reception. Definitely not a deal breaker though. Shout out to our Game Master Chloe who dealt with our incessant joking and stupidity without a complaint.

A fantastic room and one of my absolute favourites in Canberra. The Vault (and all the rooms at ERC) do extremely well when it comes to utilising a reasonably small space, their emphasis on prop design, room layout and thematic puzzles creates an infinitely more immersive experience than some of the larger escape rooms Iβve played. Though not a super difficult room, the Vault had so many clever solves which only made us more excited to move on and discover more. Really struggling with the negatives here (canβt fault the vault ha) as everything was wonderful. I only wish more rooms in Melbourne would hold themselves to this standard. Shoutout to Chloe and Dean who ran our room, super lovely people π«Ά

Amazing room. It was fun and enjoyable. There was a major jump scare and it almost threw me off my feet!
The gameplay was amazing. It felt immersive and like you were truely trapped (while not feeling unsafe).
Not scary
But has a huge jumpscare, it was genuinely the first time I have ever screamed at a scare

Completed The Vault with 4 people. It had some really creative puzzles that I hadnβt seen before elsewhere. The space was a little cramped at times as the rooms werenβt that big but it had a good range of puzzles - there were only a few number locks and the others were more high tech. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent use of technology, super logical puzzles and smart narrative where you still get pushed for time even if youβre progressing well with the room.

After the high standards set by House on the Hill and the exceptional staff at Escape Rooms Canberra, Iβm happy to report that The Vault did not disappoint. The production value, theming, story, and immersion were all exceptional. Without a doubt, this was my favorite room, not just from this outfit but over the whole weekend. Teamwork is key to getting through this escape room at a good pace. While the puzzles are linear in nature, there are a few layered puzzles where working together will help you solve them quickly. The diversity of puzzles is impressive, ranging from mechanical, physical, high-tech, association, and pattern-matching to sensory puzzles. There was even a puzzle that required the use of an everyday itemβyouβll know it when you see it! Additionally, one puzzle required someone to have a bit of flexibility. On the whole, we really enjoyed the experience. This is an excellent, high-quality room and highly recommended!

Unfortunately did have a room reset error. Our games master forgot to tell us we needed our phones. Instead we found an open box with no lock.
