Serial Killer Charade

We had so much fun! As two enthusiasts it was a really great room to blitz through. Some challenges and great ah-ha moments. Perfect game if you want to scratch the escape room itch. The check in host Mia made the whole visit so great, really appreciated it.

The room is good as all Room Escape Ottawa games I found to be really really high quality in the area. As others have mentioned it does have a more standard/classic escape room flow and has a mix of standard lock boxes and sensor locks. Theming is decent as your classic “killer cabin” and I appreciated that light was never an issue as can be in some of these spooky rooms

Overall a fun game! I went with a large group which I probably wouldn’t recommend as it felt like I didn’t get to see a lot of the room since we were splitting up and progressing so quickly

By far my favorite so far—the sets are perfect. You walk into each room with a little bit of nervousness in your stomach, and you’re always wondering if something’s going to fall on you. A little tip: watch your step and keep your eyes open, because the sets are really a feast for the eyes.

This room flowed really well which is always satisfying. I found the set design to be well done overall, but it’s definitely an old school escape room feel which I don’t have a problem with. There were a couple puzzles in the room that seemed like “filler puzzles” that didn’t fit into the story of the room, but this isn’t uncommon in older style escape rooms. The music definitely added to the spooky factor and my partner got a good scare or two out of me which was hilarious 😂 Overall, I liked this room! It was simple but tricky enough to be satisfying. In the end the two of us escaped with 16:30 remaining on the clock!

This room is pretty old school with locks and keys and a relatively inexpensive set. I seem to be an exception among enthusiasts because I enjoy these types of rooms. We were able to work through the puzzles with only one hint and 8 minutes left, so it was satisfying.
