Ahoy mateys! During your sunset cruise, Captain LavaBeard, the terror of the Hawaiian Islands,and his merry men came alongside your ship, boarded it, and took your group captive before scuttling the silly sunset catamaran. He and his crew are now off to Lahaina in search of more spoils which gives you the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of his puzzling ship to figure out how to escape. Pirate Ship is a 60 minute escape room set aboard Captain LavaBeard's ship. Players start separated in adjacent locations.

What this room lacks in set design (it was okay, but not great) and a story, it more than made up for it in puzzles. I thoroughly enjoyed them. There were some very clever puzzles that Iβve never seen before and I was smiling the entire time. This room is not high tech and wonβt be winning any Terpeca awards, but it was FUN and thatβs the most important thing.

The set was nothing special but was adequate. If it was better, this room would probably rate higher with some people.
Customer service
We played three different days while in Maui and overall, the customer service was good. Itβs like Goldilocks. Once it was okay, once it was pretty good, and once it was stellar.
Story
The puzzles were all on theme, but no real story came through, which is not a big deal to me, as Iβm all about the puzzles.

This room had some fantastic puzzles, a great split start, and was a lot of fun. The set was where this room was lacking but with all the other upsides, itβs definitely worth doing if youβre in Maui, as I believe it is one of the best on the island.

These rooms are all well done and you canβt go wrong with which one to do. Puzzles are great and creative. The staff is great and are great to work with. Nothing scary in this room. A good number is 4.

Beginning of the game you start separated but for the majority of the game youβre together. We did it with two people and almost was able to get out in time. They let us go over a few mins to complete the room and we were able to with just two extra minutes. Some βred herringsβ that could end up taking almost the whole time if you donβt end up splitting up. Overall a good room

We are escape room enthusiasts, having done over 60ish games. We were on vacation and had to hit up a local room! Firstly the room is located inside a mall, which made getting to the location a bit difficult, especially for anyone who isnβt able to walk long distances. No bathroom in the actual location, so hit the bathroom downstairs before you take the elevator up! Staff was very friendly! The room itself was not bad, we have seen better, and worse! As an enthusiast, it was nothing impressive but we had fun, and did escape. Low tech puzzles, small room, sparse decor.
