The galaxy is in peril, trapped under the cyborg fist of the feared Alpha One faction. The imperial regime rules from the space-fortress codenamed Horizon Alpha, a terrifying superweapon with an impenetrable security system. You are a plucky band of rebels - the best in the parsec - chosen to infiltrate the Horizon Alpha. In 60 minutes a massive rebel fleet will arrive through hyperspace and fire on the base, but you must manually deactivate the shields if this daring assault is to work. Grab your laser-swords. Arm your blasters. Complete the mission and escape before the Horizon Alpha is reduced to atoms. Good luck, you're our only hope!

The room had been poorly maintained (in fact one of the puzzles had to be forcefully manipulated in order to get it to operate). The puzzles themselves are obtuse and illogical. I don't mind hard rooms and 99% of the time once you have the solution on a hard puzzle it is clear how that answer should have been deduced. You have that annoying "oh of course!" moment which makes you feel a bit stupid but if fine. On the other hand with this game, you find the solution and are still perplexed about how any of it makes sense. Unfortunately at this stage in my escape journey (c. 50 rooms completed) this is the worst one I have played.

Minimum 3 players, but we only needed 3 players for one puzzle, which could easily have been made so that 2 players could do the room. Not enough to do for 3 people. Honestly, in our party of 3, 2 of us sat back and let the first-time-escaper do all the puzzles

Not my style of game. Single room with not much discover in the experience left me feeling pretty underwhelmed.
Not my style of game. One room experience with a lot of tech. There was just a lack of discovery in the space
The game looks impressive even though itβs just one space.
Lovely host, super friendly.

Not a fan! Have done 20+ rooms, this was among my least favourites. We escaped, but the pure linear nature of the room meant we spent 15 mins easily on one tiny thing. Hints weren't always applicable to our current stage, and more than a few things that seemed interactive were red-herrings. Difficulty rating of 5/5 seems more to do with how it wasn't always obvious what you were meant to be doing, rather than any actual complexity of the puzzles. Didn't seem to be much actual content, it just took ages to figure out what you were meant to be doing! We would never have guessed the last puzzle without a hint! Overall, probably skip this room.
Not a huge amount of actual puzzles, and due to linearity, could've achieved the same time as a team of 2
Set was nicely designed but run down, but quite a few little pieces tatty or button covers missing etc.
Very brief intro, not particularly enthusiastic! I get that that's what happens with chain rooms, but it was obvious that multiple rooms were being run at once as clues sometimes took a while to come through and one was for something we couldn't solve yet.

One set piece was damaged from a previous group but the GM told us it was nothing important and to ignore it. There was no puzzle to do with the part that was broken

Pretty fun game but definitely our least favourite of Breakinβ. Was hoping for a hidden room!

Some cool set decoration but most of it was extraneous. Although the puzzles weren't anything new, they were fine and well signposted until a final sequence that seemed arbitrarily difficult and left us with a bad taste. Linear and just one room.
Linear. One puzzle toward the end seemed especially arbitrary
Pretty good high tech atmosphere, although a little worse for wear
As with our previous Breakin experience, we felt a little rushed out at the end

βLost points for puzzles and general wear and tear, but earns points for a fun sci-fi theme.β
βThe game draws together well towards the end with a satisfyingly complex puzzle.β
