This was a teamwork oriented game. Every task and almost every puzzle required constant collaboration, more so than most escape rooms. The puzzles were pretty straightforward, fun to complete, and on the easier side but took a lot of time to complete, especially with 2 people. We never really got stuck and we still only escaped with a minute to spare. The set was bright and didn’t feel worn out, which is always a plus, and was fun to traverse. Overall a solid game but I think I prefer gold rush and special ops over this one, but I think this one is better than heist.

Definitely recommend! We usually prefer 2-4 people for a room (and can escape easily with that number) but we were pressed for time with 4 people on this one.

The individual puzzles weren’t especially hard but there is a LOT to do and several puzzles are (or can be) time consuming.

For the amount of stuff to do, 6 would be great, although at some points it felt crowded/congested even with only 4 people. That might be different for the same room in a different location.

You need at least one physically agile person in your group, and several puzzles need a decent level of coordination.
Not very accessible for someone with mobility challenges. Several puzzles are color dependent.

This isn't a difficult escape room, but there are a lot of puzzles and it is overall just very fun. We did this with 3 experienced players and thought it was perfect.

My wife and I did an esapceroom weekend in Cincinnati and after doing this room, we didn't bother looking for a second location. We just knocked out every room at the location we could. We were told the classroom couldn't be done by two, so we booked a room with a family of four who was coming m in later that day. I am super glad we did as this room was tough! There were a lot of puzzles with several different chains. While the grade we were visiting was at the kindergarten level the puzzles were college level! Grab some of your friends, play follow the leader, amd get to this room. Pay careful attention to what you find in the room. You might not even know what you see, smell, or hear might be a puzzle! Enjoy, it's amazing!

I think you can get anywhere in the room you need to be, but not everywhere that can help you... I would say it's not really accessible due to the jungle gym.

So much fun! Probably the most unique escape room we have played. I LOVED that it wasn’t dark and so much tech!! Our family (mom, 50, dad, 49, kids 12,11, 7) enjoyed it immensely!
There were a few puzzles that I don’t think we would have figured out in time on our own without the clues but it was very well planned.

Overall rating - 9.1/10 Puzzles - 8 Gameplay - 10 Atmosphere - 10 Experience - 7 For a breakdown of my weighted rating system you can refer to my bio. Super fun room! We almost wrote it off because of the theme but the reviews were so positive we gave it a shot. You hear playground and you think that it's probably more family/kid themed but there's definitely some challenging puzzles. The reason I rate it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is there were two puzzles I didn't find very enjoyable. One being the classic, "we took something and chopped it up into a bunch of pieces and now you have to put it back together". That's a D tier puzzle for me and always feels like a boring time killer. But the puzzles are all very interactive and this would be very fun with a 4 people. You can book this room with a large group but we did it with 2 and it was doable. Close but doable! Definitely would be fun with a bigger group though.

This room was great! There were only a few locks but it made sense for them to be there. They did stick us in with another family which we weren't a fan of, but it still went well.

Rating: 4/5 I didn't think going back to school would be so much fun! I loved the variety of puzzles and everything fit the theme, no random padlocks here. I've updated this review in 2024 after playing almost all of TEG's rooms at several locations, here is my personal ranking from best to least favorite: 1. Cosmic Crisis 2. Ruins: Forbidden Treasure 3. Playground 4. Timeliner: Train Through Time 5. Prison Break 6. The Depths 7. Special Ops: Mysterious Market 8. Gold Rush 9. The Heist 10. Mission Mars
