It's the late 1970s, in the midst of the Cold War between the United States and Soviet Union. Tensions are rising and both militaries are on high alert. The most notorious spy of the time, known as Mr Fox, happens to be a double agent, secretly working for both sides. You learn Mr Fox is now missing and someone has seemingly infiltrated his bunker and initiated a nuclear warhead launch sequence that will destroy the planet in 60 minutes. Your team is dispatched on a special ops mission to abort the launch. You are the world's last hope.

64 escape rooms
An overall mediocre room. Puzzles were not difficult and some were finicky. Very lock heavy and little to no ambiance building. This feels like a Gen1 room that’s been neglected and lacks sufficient upkeep. Probably could’ve been a decent room at one point. One of those rooms that really should be torn down and turned into something else — the other room we did at this location was a night and day difference. Needs some repaint and puzzle fixes at a minimum.

Very first escape room experience! Team of 5, great mix of puzzle types for different types of players. Definitely more about the puzzles than the story or ambiance. Fox in a Box clearly has the whole busiess on lock. (No pun intended.) Well run, great for beginners.

Fox in a Box consistently has excellent escape rooms, and The Bunker is no different! While it isn’t one of my favorites here (I enjoy the others that much more), The Bunker was a blast! The game master was extremely nice and attentive, leading us agents along through the puzzles. The room had some tricky, clever puzzles that were enjoyable for 2 people. With more people, the room probably goes by faster. The theming and ambience are very fitting too, as all the rooms at this location are. I’m not a huge fan of Cold War spy thrillers, but I still really enjoyed this one!

From 2016: Everything made sense and locked together nicely and in order…the few places we were stuck, the clues made sense in terms of pointing out things we missed. It was in some ways easier than Zombie Lab (which is done by the same group), but not so easy as to be unsatisfying.

It’s in the middle of downtown Chicago 🤷🏻♂️

Played this with 6 people and I’ll never have that many in a room again! It was a mess! The room was great otherwise and included a lot of team necessary elements. The only annoying aspect is the alarm that goes off the entire room unless you realize you can shut it off. We didn’t. Hilarious.

I have a hard time ranking this room. It’s a fine room, it just isn’t anything special. The theme isn’t too exciting, and the sequential task-based room flow isn’t my favorite (station 1, station 2, etc.) However, this is a great room for newbies and kids to get their first escape room experience. Make sure they know that rooms get better!

There was not anything special about this room. It was close to where we were in Chicago. We enjoyed playing it, but would not travel to play.

Not particularly impressive room for the price- but still fun
