The GM was very enthusiastic and welcoming when we arrived. 
The room itself was to theme but there were things that didn’t make sense. Ie. Clues etc in places that were fairly obviously not part of the game (electrical boxes). Too many red herrings and when questioned for hints, information given was not helpful. 
A few of the puzzles didn’t make sense - too much of a jump to get to what you needed to find. And a lot of useless/irrelevant items in drawers etc that confuse. There wasn’t really that sense of “ahh” when you figured out a code, to then know you were right before you put it in. It was a lot of guessing which lock etc. 
Assumed knowledge. 

Overall, not great for kids, but also, needs a small team to allow for puzzles to work. A couple of puzzles worked really well and were great but some needed revision, to ensure a good flow. 

Only had a 3/5 rating on their site but GM said at commencement that it was their hardest.

This room unfortunately missed the mark for us. Game master was enthusiastic, location easy to find but once in the room, it started to go down hill. 

The online blurb for the room doesn’t really give rise that this is a horror room, which is what it turned into.  No live actors and jump scares consisted of people banging on the walls. The room was not sound proof so the immersion was ruined by noise coming from outside the room, such as the staff, other guests and the road traffic as well. 

Puzzles in the room were completely mechanical, which isn’t a problem, but puzzles and clues looked old, very dated and this also ruined the quality of the room. I wouldn’t necessarily call the puzzles hard as rated on the website, the puzzles were just time consuming like a 16 word word search or making a pentagram out of string. 

Story lacked flow, and there was a lot of items in the room that we didn’t end up using, alongside a lot of cupboard and things that were not part of the room. I don’t mind a few do not touch stickers, but when they’re in almost every corner of the room it ruins the immersion. 

There was 2 game masters on site, and when we spoke to one for help he appeared to have no knowledge of the puzzles, and took a long time to give help. 

Overall this room was disappointing, dated and if the intent it to be a scary horror room, it falls very short.
