Pops (the chief of the agency you work for) has been missing for about a year now. Through our investigation, we have discovered that Pops has a secret lolly shop. So secret that, no one at the agency knew about it. We are sending you to the lolly shop to investigate. See if you can find any answers as to what Pops was doing there. As you start to look around the shop you cant help to think that Pops must have left a clue here. Where is he? Did the dreaded Drop-bears finally get him? What secrets does this old shop hold? Better hurry up though as in 1 hour the Drop Bear agents will be there, and you don’t want to be caught be the Drop Bears.

The 2nd of 3 interconnected games at Drop Bear and potentially my favourite. A fun story that drove the puzzle narrative, the flow was clear and well constructed, AND there were lasers? Awesome. It’s always nice to be able to tell how much love has gone into a room and that is immensely apparent in Pop’s Lolly Emporium. From the set design to the detailed briefing there is so much to enjoy about this room. I really have no gripes with this room other than it s becoming a little worn due to age and my own personal dislike of combination safes. Give this room a go, actually, play them all.

This is part 2 of a 3-part story arc encompassing all the physical rooms in this location. Our team of three players did all three rooms in one afternoon. All three rooms work well together seamlessly, but also function as individual rooms. Rick has put so much thought and effort into getting these into their current state & it was a pleasure to chat to him about them. The theming of this room is incredible. The visuals, sounds, smells, everything has been considered. There were some very complex puzzles which could bamboozle new players (although it was the simple ones that tripped us up the most). Some very unique puzzles in the room. We loved it!
From the moment you walk in, it’s just lovely!
Rick is a real gem. So passionate in what he has created and maintains.

So much love has gone into creating this room, from the props to the puzzle layouts, it’s a great experience all round. With a clever dynamic difficulty setting, beginners and kids can also have a better shot of escaping which I wish more rooms would incorporate. The owners were lovely and were more than happy to have a chat after the game.
