Great room! Some very clever puzzles, and not to much for a small group.

Based on a real Central Otago gold robbery! Gold Heist is set back in the 1860s gold rush in a bustling gold mining town called Queenstown. The biggest gold heist ever in the region has just happened. The gold bank’s vault is empty! It’s your job as an elite team of detectives to time travel back to Queenstown 1860s to unravel the secrets of the Gold Bank, discover who stole the gold, transmit this information to the authorities and escape the room!

Was hesitant to participate, given the reviews. The reviews are rougher than they should be. There was still a lot of good in this room, definitely some bad, but more good. The goods, staff were lovely and wanted us to have a nice time. To me all of the puzzles were clear, without all of them being too easy. Everything worked as intended without fault. There's really not too much bad to say about this room. In this room I did (unprompted) receive part of an answer to a puzzle. Not a big fan of that, I hate asking for hints and clues as it is, so to out receive a portion of an answer without asking for it, did put me out a smidge. The GM was well meaning though. I would recommend this room on a visit to Queenstown.

Not my favorite room. Decor was great, puzzles were good but staff gave us clues for things we had already done or randomly gave us answers to things when we didn’t ask for them or needed them.
