Another classic theme from Excape with the zombie trope in full swing, this room had a decent flow with some fun gadgets along the way. I did however, find a couple of the puzzles to be a little more frustrating than exciting when attempting to complete them. Granted we played as our 3rd room in a row and I was pre-Red Bull so that could’ve had an effect. The set dressing was nice but maybe could’ve benefited by a more active soundscape instead of a looping zombie noise track. Having played all of their other rooms now I will say this was my least favourite of the bunch. The oldest room of the Excape lineup is by no means a bad room but did leave a little to be desired.

For Zombie Excape, we were told going in that it’s the oldest room in the venue with a much more straight forward, mechanical feel. This was good to know beforehand as I found the puzzles and design to be exactly that, simple but nothing out of the box. Outside of the ambient room music and series of zombie growls coming through the speakers, there wasn’t any tech used throughout the entire experience; not a bad trait by any means but comparative to the other rooms available, this definitely helped show it’s age. A good room for beginners and novices alike but not my favourite overall.
