*Please note that this room has a higher fear factor for players who have learned about Chinese and South Asian superstitions. Over 50 years ago in Shanghai, a famous actress who was working at Studio No. 7 vanished into thin air, leaving behind a suicide note. Till this day, her body has never been found. Since then, many strange things have happened at Studio No. 7. Filming equipment malfunctioned for no reason, weird sounds came out of the dressing room in the middle of the night, and the actress' tea cup was often found filled with hot water. All these weird occurrences forced the film studio to seal off Studio No. 7. Recently, a young director has decided to reopen the studio to shoot a horror film, and you are the prop assistant for the film. It is the night before the filming begins, you suddenly remembered there is something you have not prepared for tomorrow. It is almost midnight, you returned to Studio No. 7, and a series of unexpected events unfolded right in front of your eyes......

Not a whole lot to like about this one unfortunately. Bizarre story, poor set dressing and very basic puzzles which still managed to feel out of place somehow. Despite being told the story is set within a film studio there was nothing in the space that would really give that impression, with the whole experience feeling super bland and uninspired. There was a fun section involving a coffin but really nothing to write home about. Each of the 3 sections looked tired and the puzzles scuffed within an inch of their life which seems to be an ongoing theme with Lost in Melbourne. General room maintenance and upkeep is a must for me, especially when charging around $55 pp. Definitely the weakest of their three rooms, wouldn’t recommend.

I’m not sure what to say about this one really. I spent most of the room confused about the bizarre theming, lack of puzzle flow and complete absence of story. A few fun puzzles including a fun way to traverse between spaces which was definitely the highlight but made little to no sense with the story and felt shoehorned into a completely different game. Again just littered with hot glue and general damage to the room including a literal hole in the wall with plaster falling out of it. I hope you enjoy hearing other people playing the Annabelle room as once into the last room it was like we were playing with them. I understand it's a challenge to keep things insulated and quiet but this was genuinely like they were in the room with us. Overall just felt a bit uninspired, and tired.
