The Pharmacy

Having already heard really glowing reviews about both the rooms and the staff at Mayday I was so excited to give these a crack and they SLAPPED, HELL YEAH MAYDAY. Starting off with The Pharmacy, we were walked through the grounds of the old Asylum (awesome) by the Superintendent (awesome) and were greeted with a room that was so well put together and wonderful to play. A very large space, an intriguing narrative and an array of clever props and puzzles; this is what I wish every escape room would be. This is even more impressive when you consider that this is owners Chris and Tim’s first attempt at putting together a room, amazing job. Highly recommend checking out Mayday if you’re up in the country as it’s one of, if not the strongest offering you’ll find outside of the city.

Couldn’t be more stoked after completing The Pharmacy at Mayday. I’ll probably mention this in all my reviews here but the setting is truly so amazing. Located in a former mental health asylum in Beechworth it creates immediate immersion. Couple this with the superintendent coming out to bring you over to your assignment and you’ve got me hooked. The puzzles themselves were well designed, a little on the easier side, and the flow was perfect. There is a bit of optional multi-linearity involved and our group split up a bit before reconvening to finish the rest of the room. I can’t speak highly enough of the these rooms, a dope idea somehow executed even better than I expected.

Great game, great location

Great escape room!! Times when the team had to work together and others where you could work separately to bring pieces of the puzzle together! It’s set in an old asylum building which is really cool and relates to the story behind the room! Staff are awesome and they have very friendly dogs on the property too!

A beautifully executed escape room design that makes use of an actual pharmacy of a mental asylum for that highly immersive experience.

A really great room. Amazing theme, set in the actual pharmacy of a derelict asylum. Mechanical lock and code puzzles but interesting ones. Not too hard. Well worth the drive out.

An excellent escape room with puzzles & tasks that made sense and were on theme with the story line.

Lovely escape room, very kind staff! And simple yet fun puzzles!

The coolest part about this room is that it's actually set in a real pharmacy at the insane asylum. There were some really interesting historical aspects of the room. The puzzles flowed well and we found it quite easy to complete with 2 of us, finishing in under 30 mins, kind of wished there had been more to keep the game going.
