‘The Cabin’ is a thoroughly enjoyable escape room with a wonderful collection of puzzles. Known for their stunning set design, The Cipher Room cleverly maximise their use of the space within ‘The Cabin’s footprint. It truly feels as though you are exploring a rustic cabin, complete with worn-down wooden flooring and rusting corrugated iron walls and roof. ‘The Cabin’ is only spooky in theme — the experience itself isn’t scary or startling in any way.
With a few surprising twists and turns along the way, the puzzle flow in ‘The Cabin’ was a standout. It felt as though we always knew which puzzle to tackle next and that flow was incredibly satisfying. An abandoned cabin — or one belonging to a serial killer — isn’t an uncommon escape room theme, but The Cipher Room has delivered the best example I’ve experienced to date.
