Mr Pepper’s Toy Shop

This is one of the best escape rooms ive completed. The puzzle where fun and flowed just as they should in an escape room but what really made it unbelievable was the ending.

My favourite escape room to date, so so so much fun! I loved all of it

10/10, probably the best escape room I’ve done so far. It was very immersive and the end was absolutely insane.

Without giving anything away this is a room you should definitely try your hardest to finish because the final puzzle is amazing. One of, if not, the best escape rooms I’ve done in Australia. Exceptional theming and worthy of all the awards it’s won. If you like mechanical puzzles this room is for you.

We went in with very high expectations because of previous reviews, we were not disappointed at all because the escape room puzzles, story and layout itself was great but it wasn’t one of those rooms that we would ramble on about. Also felt a tad bit rushed at the end of the game by our game master and didn’t really get to sit down and take in the rooms like we usually do, he snapped a quick pic of us and then opened the front door and stood next to it waiting for us to leave 🤣 it was a bit strange

Completed this room with 4 people. Would definitely recommend doing it 4 people at least as it had quite a lot of puzzles within the time limit. I was a bit apprehensive about this room as I don’t like horror rooms, but it wasn’t too bad. It had a few jump scares but as there were a few of us, different people experienced them so it wasn’t as bad 😂 There were a few scary moments but overall it was still very enjoyable. The puzzles were all very creative and the gameplay flowed well; we didn’t really have any questions by the end of the game. There were some really cool mechanisms (you’ll know it when you see it). Another great room by Cipher Room!

This room was amazing and had some elements over and above what I've seen elsewhere in Sydney. Atmosphere and a couple of jump scares had us afraid to solve some puzzles as we didn't know what would happen next - do not let Toy Shop get you thinking this is warm and fuzzy!! Excellent experience!!

My 2nd favourite CIPHER room, and all-time 2nd too. So much that I went back twice and did it with a different group of friends so that I could work on the puzzles that I didn't solve last time (we split and conquered). I will say this time and again, but CIPHER has the best theatre experiences and I cannot fault it. Its my favourite franchise by far and the atmosphere, puzzles and storyline are superior.

I had heard amazing word of mouth reviews of cipher rooms and particularly Mr Pepper's Toy Shop even from my home in another state and it certainly lives up to the expectations. This is just one of those rooms that you have to play if you're in the Sydney area and you like escape rooms. It features a very camp horror theme and drives it further than I've ever seen before through the use of some very unique tech and wonderful application of the venue's space. These elements come together and leave a sense of wonder in your eyes at what is possible inside an escape room. If you're lucky enough to have Callum as your game master, then I believe you have been blessed. He was kind, charming and gave us the kind of positive experience you don't forget. Please play this game, you'll leave pondering the possibilities of escape room design and knowing that people out there are definitely pushing this industry to new limits.
