I had a horrible time in this room. It was hard to establish any momentum, as the puzzles weren't clued very well. There werent many puzzles in the room to begin with, and some of them required leaps of logic to be able to solve. There wasn't even one clever puzzle in the room at all. On top of this, the game master was totally uninterested in our experience with the room. Good game masters usually get an idea of how many games you've played, and ask how and when you'd like to receive hints. Our game master didn't bother to ask and furthermore did a terrible job of knowing where we were at in the game. She would misunderstand what we needed clarification on and launch into long explanations for puzzles that were already solved. At times, a good game master can save a weirdly or under-clued game. The one we had for this game amplified the frustration from an already terrible game. When we finally solved the last puzzle, there wasn't an indication to know that the last puzzle had been solved, leading to possibly the most anticlimactic room escape I have performed to date- by far. Usually, when a room is bad, I can at least have a good time enjoying how bad it is. This one was insultingly bad and is on my top 3 most frustrating rooms of all time. The only thing that could heal this experience would be a refund.
Possibly the only positive score. They spent some money on the set.
