The first room we did with only two people (we still got out successfully!). A pretty standard escape room - nothing to write home about (either positive or negative). But in the middle of the experience, our GM kept giving us clues meant for another room (repeatedly telling us to use the prop we were holding, when we hadn't asked for a clue and didn't even have that prop in our room).

I’m really sorry that happened — getting clues meant for another group can totally break immersion, especially when you were on track with just the two of you. That kind of mix-up shouldn’t happen, and I’ll be addressing this with our staff to make sure our GMs are fully focused on the correct room at all times. I appreciate you sharing this so we can fix it. Please reach out to me at (337) 552-4641 or [email protected] — I’d really like to make this right and ensure your next experience runs smoothly from start to finish.

Not a special room, but we actually enjoyed it. For the most part, the puzzles made sense. The colored lock needs to be replaced with a regular one… but other than that when we got stumped it was from our own lack of attention to detail. Use of black light was minimal, which we appreciated. We had a good time!

That’s great feedback — thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the experience and that the puzzles mostly clicked for your group. Good note on that colored lock — we’ll take a look at getting that updated. And I agree, keeping blacklight use minimal makes for a smoother, more grounded game. Sounds like you all had a solid run!

Not Escapology’s best room at all. Didn’t flow smoothly. Some confusion and poor design for a few puzzles and red herrings that were too frustrating. There are better rooms to do. Skip this one

Gameplay

Not my fav. It was ok. Little clunky

I’m really sorry this room missed the mark for you. It sounds like the puzzle flow and design created more frustration than fun, which is definitely not what we want for our guests. I appreciate your honesty — feedback like this helps us pinpoint exactly where the experience needs improvement. Please reach out to me directly at (337) 552-4641 or [email protected] — I’d like the chance to learn more and make this right for you.

Escapology games suffer from being consistently mediocre. The scenery for a western setting was minimal. The puzzles loosely tie to the theme but are poorly designed. Red herrings in the room seem to be more like orphan props from puzzles that were abandoned from the game long ago. The room is very lock heavy, but the locks aren’t coordinated to the game. For example why have color-coded locks if irrelevant to the puzzle? (Not a spoiler.) I’ve played several games at this venue and other Escapology locations and just wonder why such a large chain can’t up their game. Disappointing.

I’m really sorry to hear this experience — and others you’ve had with us — have felt underwhelming. Your feedback about puzzle design, theming, and overall cohesion is detailed and fair, and it helps us see exactly where we need to improve. We never want our rooms to feel generic or disconnected from their stories, and I’ll be sharing your comments directly with our design and maintenance teams. I’d really appreciate the chance to learn more about your visit and what specifically stood out to you so we can address it properly. Please reach out to me at (337) 552-4641 or [email protected] — I’d value the opportunity to make this right and rebuild your trust in us.
