my dad and i did this room together while on a road trip. this was my first time doing a room with just my dad, and we escaped with about 17 minutes left!! we needed a hint to get started, and one or two in the middle, but overall most things made sense to us.
the experience started before we even got into the room. we actually "forged" acceptance letters that the employee added to the room before letting us in. that was a fun little touch that made me even more excited for the puzzle solving to begin.
the timer was weird: instead of an actual timer, it was a progress counter. if the expected progress reached 100%, your hour was up. it was definitely a different system than i've seen before, and it had its pros and cons. at the beginning the expected progress was around 30% and we were still at 0%, making me panic a bit. eventually we worked our way up and achieved 60% progress when that was expected, and escaped when the expected progress was at 70%.
if i'm ever in town again, i would definitely go back to this place.
story could've flowed a bit better, but overall it was enjoyable
i love anything fantasy, magic, harry potter, you name it. it was a typical magic classroom but that holds a special place in my heart.
didn't catch his name but he was great!! good sense of humor and played into the story enough without being too excessive
Particularly interesting or different
No
a lot of nods to harry potter which i personally loved, but it is a common theme
could've flowed a lot better
tighter space, i feel like with more than 3 people it would feel too cramped
Physically active
Somewhat
Accessibility
not very. tight space, small door to squeeze through, one vision puzzle that may be difficult (my dad did that one, not i, so i don't exactly know)
