Away Mission Built in partnership with CBS Interactive, Star Trek: Discovery Away Mission fully immerses you in the world of Star Trek like never before. You and your friends will join the crew aboard the U.S.S. Discovery. In your role as Starfleet officers, you'll have the chance to stand on a transporter pad with your own two feet and get beamed to your Away Mission. Guiding you on your mission is Starfleet officer Sylvia Tilly (voiced by Mary Wiseman). As an Away Team, you will investigate a mysterious distress signal originating from an unexplored alien world. Using iconic Starfleet equipment like the phaser and tricorder, it is up to your crew to work together to solve the mystery and survive the perils along the way.

I've been wanting to do this one for a while, as a Star Trek: Discovery fan. This was my first VR experience so I don't have anything to compare but I had so much fun. It's very physical, no puzzle solving. But now I'm excited for my next VR experience!

I was excited to do a full room vr experience but sadly my group left disgruntled and disappointed. This was due to several technical issues such as controllers dying, a player’s suit not functioning, frame rate dropping, and lag. The game had to be stopped a few times in order to address some issues which ruined the experience. The staff did give us a free game for next time to make up for the technical issues but my group will likely not return.

3 of the controllers that the team had were not working and the technician had to reset the game a few times in order to work. One of the suits stopped functioning partway the game that also caused the game to stop.
