Really cool set, I always love when rooms go the extra mile with the immersive details. I chose it because I saw the TERPECCA nom so I went into it with expectations that may have been a little high. The puzzles themselves were fine, it’s definitely an easier room for a reason. I am always disappointed when word locks are easily guessed words because one member of my group guessed it so we opened it before we even got to the puzzle it gave us the code. The only clue we actually needed was because we needed to reuse items for another puzzle so we learned our lesson when it happened again. A solid experience overall, maybe just had too high of expectations.
Good set, I expected a bit more from a haunted house adjacent room, but it blows most smaller ones out of the water. Especially some of the detail in that final room!

I am all for immersion and there is an aspect in the third room that really helps, it something I always enjoy in Pirate or similar rooms.
The Pirate AND the Aztec was a little bit of whiplash for me, definitely more Pirate though.

High tech
Nothing insane, a good amount of tech and than some mechanical puzzles.
Spooky
Although it says family friendly, it’s pretty dark although you do get a very bright flashlight early on.

We had a toddler with us who spent most of the time in someone’s arms because there was a lot of places he could get into and then sand in the final room. Very cool for immersion sake, but a bit too much temptation for the baby. There was also A LOT is stairs so it was a little nerve wracking going up with the toddler in tow.

Not a ton of space and a little narrow inside, especially the middle room so it would probably be a tight squeeze for a chair to drive through and maneuver, especially with a third room that has a sand floor. No chairs for people to sit as well, though it may be something they can put in the room upon request. They also mentioned to us that there was no elevator, only a lot of steep stairs necessary to get to the escape room. They may have a service area that can be used if absolutely necessary that they just didn’t mention to us.

This game was fun. I enjoyed it. It was not scary but it was very dark and we were only given one flashlight to use. The first puzzle was disappointing in the fact that our GM had to explain why the puzzle worked in the way it did in order for us to complete it (more like explaining the pictures because they were very similar), but other than that, it was fun! The floor in the last room was a surprise and not something I have seen before.

Great room with good puzzles and amazing immersive props. Unfortunately this was the same room I played in Washington DC with a national chain which I didn’t know about prior due to lack of pictures or images of the room.

Every year we get a chance to play one or two games at the Darkness as we pass though St. Louis. The game had a fun theme and the set design was a decent pirate themed experience. Similar to other games at the darkness there was a mix of generation one puzzles and some tech thoughout the game.

Arrrsome room! Loved the atmosphere and set features! Props were especially good as to be expected from a haunt place. Puzzles were mostly good, particularly an interesting one towards the end. The flow was intuitive even though we missed some things that we needed guidance on. Other rooms at this location are great as well and worth making a voyage to!
Great energetic DM!

This game was good, the puzzles were enjoyable but nothing out of the ordinary. Didn’t like how one puzzle required the use of something we had already used, this was the only thing we needed a clue on. Also this company does restrict clues, just fyi for any beginner teams or teams that prefer free use of clues. The room looked great and was well themed.

Fun room. A bit on the easy side and very low tech. Still fun with plenty for everyone to do. Very intuitive puzzle flow. Game master was excellent.
