The Dentist

A really fun escape room and one of the very first in the Netherlands, which makes it extra special to play. The atmosphere is dark and eerie, with plenty of clever puzzles to solve. There are quite a few padlocks—something I personally enjoy—but even as a first-generation room, it still holds up very well thanks to the strong use of sound and effects. Don’t expect over-the-top surprises, but do expect a great ambience that DarkPark is known for, and this room definitely delivers on that! Our game host, Luke, was fantastic and really made the experience even better. If you’re playing the other DarkPark rooms, make sure to also try this one to see where it all began!

We played The Dentist first during our visit to DarkPark in Delft, right before heading to an amazing lunch at Hermanos (just 5 minutes away). We were a team of 4 who’ve tackled over 20 rooms together, and this one definitely stood out. This is their first room created, and even now it holds up with a solid, high-quality experience. The puzzles leaned toward the analytical side, which we all enjoyed—clever, varied, and satisfying to solve. The immersion and set design were well crafted, pulling us into the eerie dental-themed narrative from start to finish. A well-rounded room and very recommended for both experienced and newer players. DarkPark’s attention to detail and storytelling was already evident even in this earlier creation.
