The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWe LOVED the hex room - the re-playability is high with a great split start. Great for teams and communication work. Olivia was the best GM ever. 💖
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - BrooklynEscape roomIRLThis one had A LOT of puzzles which we LOVED. Our core group was 6, and I think that was perfect range (6-8). Any more and it just gets crowded. We had three other people with us as it was a “shared experience” which is definitely not our fave, but they were nice to work with. They recommend up to 12 for the room, but that’s WAY too much. The concept was novel and just challenging enough. We used 2 hints and got a nudge, but overall was really fun.
The Secret At Whitmore EstateBreaking Point Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis one was really fun. The build and decor were really immersive and our GM was great and the story was just the right amount of cheesy. Would recommend!
ExcaliburMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLThis was a novel and immersive room. Non-linear, but pretty easy to make connections. The two of us completed with 20 min left and only one hint with a few nudges. Sometimes hard to see, but not impossible.
Arizona Steampunk RailwayNorth Valley Escape RoomEscape roomIRLLoved the team at North Valley Escape room are great. We wanted to do every room there, but we’re visiting from out of town. Such a great energy there.
PortlandiaEscape Games PDXEscape roomIRLThis one is a pretty busy room. A lot of ways to divide and conquer, and a lot of novel puzzles. We love the team and escape games pdx, I’m a little sad that we’ve now completed all the rooms there. 😭 highly recommend requesting Sarah or Zach, they’re the best game masters we’ve had. 🖤 Also, you’re going to want to - but DONT JUMP.
Film NoirEscape Games PDXEscape roomIRLSara was a fantastic GM, she really helped keep us immersed. This room has a LOT of puzzles, so more people is better, but we did ok with two and got some “extra time when the chief was away”. Challenging without being frustrating. Loved the theme, and was relatively easy to make connections while non-linear.
Zodiac KillerWild Goose Escapes - FullertonEscape roomIRLI have to be honest, we failed the first time we did this room. We came back two weeks later to finish the room for a bit of redemption. Overall, this room was pretty challenging, very linear so groups used to multitasking are a bit limited. I like the theming and the GMs got really into it both times - but you can either amp up the spooky, or ask them to tone it down for those less fond of spooks.
Tales From The AtticEscape Games PDXEscape roomIRLThis room was definitely different, no traditional locks and keys, but writing a story. The atmosphere is incredible and Zach was an incredible GM. Definitely coming back!
The Fright Before ChristmasParadigmqEscape roomIRLThis was a cute room. Good for families. The puzzles were interesting and easy to make connections if you keep your eyes open. Don’t overthink, some of the puzzles really are that simple. Overall really cute room.
