There must have been 6 in play in the first room alone. Now there was a great way to get solves for these keyed, directional and letter tumbler locks but it was a little disappointing to see such a great themed room be so heavy on locks.

WarlockedQuest Room - Redondo BeachEscape roomIRLGreat room - one of the best and most immersive of the Quest Room set I’ve been able to complete. It’s family friendly although some dark moments. GM was very good and had to manage multiple characters for us as well as the live actor. Was a few issues with tech but was able to bypass after some small frustrations. Highly recommend especially for larger family groups (6-8 people) - 8/10.

Pirates: Wanted!Quest Room - Culver CityEscape roomIRLThis is a great 45 minute room for beginners. Let’s get this out of the way - it’s expensive, too expensive for a 45 min room as it’s priced the same as a 60 min room. However the design is top notch and it’s very well done. Would highly recommend especially to families.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLThis is a very nice family friendly room from the dependable group The Escape Game. They are new to Los Angeles but have a location in Irvine, Nashville, Austin, Chicago and more. This location has 4 games, all which appear in other locations so if you’ve tried all these rooms you won’t have anything new to experience. The space also seems small to run 4 rooms. No slides or 2 floor rooms like you may experience in other locations. They are on the last week of previews but seem ready as the room ran perfectly and the hosts and GMs were great!
Escobar: Part 2 (The Final Hour)The Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLThis is a part 2 to a room I loved and is well reviewed through the community so to say this room was a disappointing follow-up would be an understatement. The rules of escape rooms never to break anything and even the own GM’s one time use mention was broken multiple times as one key object is used many times. Also many areas are under developed, completely underclued, a massive jump from logic and would require either a hint or a wild guess. Other areas including a very important combo lock near the end was so poorly lit a cell phone light was needed which took me out of the experience. This room is pretty and well designed visually at least in the first half (the second half gets a bit lazy and rushed) but the flow and clues are very tough. 5 is the ideal number for the room but most of the time people will be standing around doing next to nothing as the max amount of people doing any work is 2, maybe 3. The rest are searching for random markers and meanings of the poorly written clues. Do part one and skip part two.
The Secrets Of WizardryMagIQ RoomEscape roomIRLThis is only for when you are desperate. This game is all over the place. Puzzles unlocked in no order and no clue on how to solve any of them. Most of the locks are combo and key locks - this is a classic 1.0 game with very little updating done. Numbers rubbed nearly off on locks, nearly unreadable clues. This was not a great experience.
