Fun, unique room, perfect for pairing with a theatre weekend. Worth the travel out to Brooklyn, and allows for a way to experience non-touristy parts of the city as well! Several unique puzzles, lots to keep my group occupied without feeling overwhelmed (in a group including several very experienced players, a minimally experienced player, and a newbie.) Definitely recommend!

Fun game. Neat twist, too. Some technical difficulties in the latter portion that affected gameplay/caused us to skip a puzzle, but overall enjoyable enough that it did not sour us.

Fun and unique! I’m not a huge magic/dark arts person, but the room was really enjoyable.

Overall, a fun game. However, the website is clear that it is dimly lit, and expect that to be true. We struggled not due to the difficulty of the puzzles, but because we couldn’t see what we were doing half the time. A smaller group would be better for this one, since there is only one small flashlight provided for the whole group.

I’m not sure how this room has won so many awards - maybe they had private bookings? If we had been by ourselves, my group of 3 probably would have loved this experience. Instead we found ourselves biting our tongues to keep from “taking over” or arguing with strangers. (One puzzle took a group about 15 minutes; I could have finished it solo in about 3. But those “in control” didn’t seem to comprehend the directions… despite clarifications from the in-room GMs. I finally had to walk away and enjoyed the views out the windows.) At the conclusion, we were told that only about 25% of groups escape. Given the group dynamics at play, I’m not surprised. I don’t think it’s inherently a bad room… but plan to pony up the cash to make it private. (On the plus side, we didn’t hate the live actors — they were effective at keeping things flowing and carrying the story forwards.)

Fun game. One puzzle had a major leap of logic; another had a couple of potential interpretations, but that was more “thinking in a rut” than a design flaw. Overall, though, some fun & creative puzzles - we enjoyed ourselves!

Room concept is unique, but we found the puzzles to be frustrating. Several required leaps of logic and/or had red herrings. Additionally, several of the locks were quite finicky. Overall, we did have fun, but it’s important to be aware of the drawbacks going on.

Not really an escape game; there were a few puzzles but nothing novel like we expected. VERY overpriced - we paid $15/head to each play on our own phones, but each player had the same clues/information/inputs. Save some money and share one device as a group.

Overall, the game was fun, but we “lost” due to the timer being reset to 2 minutes (from like 8 minutes) when we unlocked the final puzzle - without us realizing it. Felt very unfair, and really cast a shadow over the whole experience.
