Being inside a historical building added so much atmosphere and made the setting feel truly authentic—you can’t beat the ambiance. The puzzles were creative, well-designed, and kept us engaged from start to finish, with a great flow that made the gameplay both challenging and rewarding. On top of the room itself, the staff treated us wonderfully and really elevated the whole experience. Their hospitality, combined with the unique environment and clever puzzle design, made this one of the best escape rooms we’ve done. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Durham!

The creativity and detail in the theme really stood out, and it made the whole experience immersive and fun. The puzzles were engaging and fit the storyline well, and our game master did an amazing job guiding the experience without giving too much away. That said, the room is on the older side, and a few of the components felt a little janky or worn, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. If anything, it added a bit of character to the setting. Overall, it’s a great room with a unique theme, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, challenging escape adventure.

While it’s on the easier side, it’s perfect for smaller groups of 2–4 players who still want a challenge without feeling overwhelmed. The puzzles were interesting and well thought out, keeping us engaged the whole time. The medieval theme was brought to life beautifully, making the room immersive and enjoyable from start to finish. A great choice for both beginners and seasoned escape room fans looking for a lighter but still rewarding adventure!

The atmosphere was immersive, and the puzzles were some of the most challenging we’ve encountered—we barely escaped with just the two of us. Even as very experienced players, we found ourselves working hard the entire time, which made the victory that much sweeter. With 3–4 experienced players, the room would be more manageable, but it was still incredibly fun and full of things to do. Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a true challenge in an escape room!
Lunar LockdownBull City Escape - DurhamEscape roomIRLThe Lunar escape room was a blast! The theme was creative and well put together, and the gameplay flowed really nicely. The puzzles struck a good balance—challenging enough to keep us thinking, but never frustrating, which makes it a great option for both experienced players and beginners. The only downside was our Game Master, who didn’t seem very enthusiastic and didn’t bring the same energy as the room itself. While it didn’t ruin the experience, a more welcoming attitude would have made the adventure even better. Overall, still a fantastic room and one I’d recommend for anyone looking for an out-of-this-world escape experience!
