Jail BreakGreatest EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room was fine. We did it for my Dad’s 72nd. It’s 2 rooms and your team is split between the rooms. There was a specific flow to the clues so I can see that the more people you have, the more people who might be standing around doing nothing. Recommended 4-6 people to make it fun and challenging enough. We had some kids with us, so it was ok. The puzzles are fairly easy and typical of escape rooms. There are a TON of locks. There are a couple of creative ways you find the keys to a couple of locks, but the other puzzles are predictable. Lock types: keys, combos, letters and numbers. There is a little bit of communication that has to happen between the two parts of your teams but otherwise it’s find this to do that. For the puzzles, I’m at a 4/10. For the room design I’m at a 4/10. For the story, I’m at a 2/10. For the FUN factor, because it was my family, I’m going up to a 6/10. It was all of their first room but my like … well, I’ve done a lot. If you’re an experienced group, you’ll get out in about a half hour. So for difficulty, I’m at a 4/10. Overall, we had fun, so that’s what was important to me.
RevolutionNo. 1 EscapesEscape roomIRLGameplay here was on par with what you expect in an escape room, although some puzzles/tools felt inappropriate for the theme. I liked the theme of the room, however the story telling is abysmal. They need to work on a better mechanisms for pushing this story. Current method is underwhelming, and that’s being nice. Ideally, 6 is the ultimate MAX for this room and you’d probably feel great with just 4. We had nine and that felt like way too many as people kept finding themselves with nothing to do for long periods of time. The game master (Eden) was very cordial and warm in his greetings. He was patient with our group when not everyone was there exactly on time( we started maybe 5 min late) so kudos for customer service.
