The CryptEscape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLOne of the most involved rooms I’ve ever done. There was only one part I didn’t like. The part where everyone has to wait while one person solves a puzzle. That person for our group said it was the best escape room he’s ever done. Not just because of that one puzzle, but of the total experience. Definitely do this room, you won’t be sorry.

It was to let me know the game was down currently but they hoped to get it back up and running by the time we got there. Unfortunately, that did not happen but they more than took care of us by giving us discount, and keeping us informed of the status. They were able to get it up by the next day and schedule us in. I really appreciated the call ahead of time and the way they handled our problem. So worth all the trouble since this was a fantastic room and we all loved it!! We had 7 of us, which is probably 2 too many since one of the rooms is a little small. 4 or 5 is probably the best number.

PlaygroundThe Escape Game - CityCentreEscape roomIRLThis is the experience that made me swear off going back to Escape Game. We like their rooms but only when it is just our group. We will only do private rooms from now on. There is no “team-building” with strangers. You have no idea who has what skills or how to even talk to them effectively. They either take over things you don’t get a chance to do or they sit on the sidelines and you feel like you’re keeping them from enjoying their game. Very awkward dynamic. Or in this case, the added guy gave us the answers before we could discover them on our own!
