Incredible sets, awesome visual effects, creative puzzles, and it was downright hilarious at times. We played with 2 experienced players and it was just right for us. Had an excellent time. A couple things were fiddly, but the GM was really on the ball and quickly fixed anything that didn’t immediately trigger, so it was basically flawless. The atmosphere was killer, the reveals were really novel at every turn, the puzzles were clever and always made sense once we worked them out. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced players alike. Total winner!
Red GiantQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThis one is a tough one. While we did love the game when we played, we found out afterwards that the man who owns this company is terrible. It made us rethink our experience including the somewhat offensive cultural costumes that they offered another group for a different game. This game itself was great, but I worry that we might not have had the same experience were we not all white people. Morally, I just can’t recommend Quest Rooms and there’s a good reason we never went back.
Sherlock: The Official Live GameSherlock: The Official Live GameEscape roomIRLLoved this game! If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll get a real kick out of the story and top-notch acting. Starting in the optometrist office was very cheeky and fun. The bar beforehand is also delightful and there are puzzles and games there too. Overall, it was very fun and a must for Sherlock fans!
