Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - The GalleriaEscape roomIRLThis is top ten escape rooms I've done . The electronics and theme were superior. It felt like you were part of the mission. The ambience really created a crazy good time. The puzzles were thought out and reasonable. We didn't get stuck on anything for a really long time. We left feeling like things made sense. Overall, TEG does a great job with most of their rooms. But I do wish they did private rooms. It's always annoying to play with randos.
SpellcasterLocktopia Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThe room was decent but the puzzles were a bit unintuitive. For instance one puzzle order was the order in which you find things. I don't consider this a spoiler since this should never be a solution. But the theme was good and locktopia in general is a neat place. This room is decent.
Mystery in the Mansion [prev. Murder In Marylebone]Escape Hunt - HoustonEscape roomIRLThis is one of the worst rooms I'm Houston. Mostly because it's super old and they haven't fixed anything. A number of things were broken. The theme is kind of boring. There were 2 decent puzzles but after that a lot of stuff was just hidden in the room. This is sad because they recently had a samurai room that was pretty neat and they got rid of it instead of this junk.
The GatewayLocktopia Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis room was a disappointment. A few things in the room didn't work the first time. While the theme of the room was cool, the puzzles didn't seem to fit it. The puzzle design had some cool ideas for about half but the rest just sucked. But by far the worst part was the gamemaster. When discussing at the end, she stated that kids solve this puzzle and my arrogance got in the way. In reality, it was simply a guess for the solution. She couldn't explain logically how to solve the puzzle, only that people just get it by accident. This is poor and then to insult the guest is very poor. Overall, I would not recommend this room
