They allow for "unlimited hints", however after 3 hints you no longer can be on the lifetime leaderboard. We aren't the greatest at escape rooms but there were only a couple times where we actually felt stuck. It did feel fairly linear but it worked out. I would recommend this for anyone, especially kids or people just getting into escape rooms!
