40 Thieves
MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula
Escape room
IRL
This one is definitely in my top five. Very cool start to the game. The technology was great and the puzzles were fun. So worth checking out if you are in the Temecula area.
7 Deadly Sins
Escapology - Tempe
Escape room
IRL
The set decoration and lobby decor were great. I enjoyed the room, but it really had nothing to do with the 7 deadly sins (except for one little part that had nothing to do with the story), and wasn’t the least bit scary. It should be called The Evil Priest instead. Do it if you are looking for a fun room, but just don’t expect a room about the titled 7 deadly sins.

Alice In Wonderland [Outdoor]
CluedUpp
Escape room

It was fun to see others dressed up in Alice in Wonderland gear, but other than that was a bust. It is good for getting your steps in (we walked around Phoenix for a couple of hours) but the game part of it is all on your phone. I don’t understand why it had to be on a certain date, when realistically you could do it anytime. I would not recommend this unless you are looking for a different way to get exercise.
Amazon RainForest
International Room Escape AZ
Escape room
Portable
The first part of the escape room was very unique and fun. A pretty immersive room all in all.
Amnesia
Puzzle Effect - Phoenix

We were running pretty late to our start time, and called to see if we could reschedule. The game host was very nice and told us to keep coming, that they would still accommodate us. So needless to say the customer service was fantastic. The game itself was very 1st gen, but still fun. We had a good time!
A Pirate's Curse
Escapology - Tempe
Escape room

Well themed pirate ship room. One of the more fun rooms at Escapology.

This is not an escape room in the traditional sense. It is a series of like eight different rooms that you can do in any order, as many times as you want. The catch is you only have three minutes to get through the room, and you either make it through to the next one or a buzzer sounds and you leave and start over. There is a lot of trial and error. Each game has three “rooms” although some games have little to nothing to do in the second room. There were quite a few technical glitches when we played that allowed other people to accidentally enter the room we were working on, or vice versa. This would stop the game from working, and the employees would have to reset it causing you to lose your progress. It’s a unique idea. Maybe once they get the kinks worked out and build more rooms, I will give it another shot.
Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge
Escapology - Tempe
Escape room
IRL
Definitely a unique, fun theme. There were a couple of things that didn’t happen the way that they should have. The GM had to come into the room twice and it took away from the immersion. My understanding was that Batman only opened a few days before we went, though. You can play with up to six but I would recommend 3-4 max as the rooms are in close quarters. I liked it but didn’t love it.
Chocolate Factory

The room was whimsical, but there was not much to it, and the puzzles were easy. Left it wanting more.
Diamond Quest
Paranoia Quest - Tempe
Escape room
IRL
Awesome new escape room place in the Phoenix Valley!! I love the blockbuster video theming and start of the escape room. Diamond Quest is a large game with many rooms. It is tech savvy, and extremely immersive. We will definitely be back for the other rooms!
