The Ghost Of Mentryville
Arcane Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
This room, like some other immersive rooms its much more theater with escape elements. There is an actor involved in this room, but the interaction is strictly story driven. Room itself is semi spooky possibly for some, but there's no scary elements just limited to decoration. Atmosphere for the room is excellent, appropriate to the story, and very well done, particularly the table that is a focus for a majority of the room. Keen eyed folks will have their opportunity and another solution. Great room for my 100th!

Great room, unexpectedly fantastic puzzles. We've admittedly not done the other rooms in this room that apparently follow the story, so there may have been some thing that led up to that. Space seems surpsingly small but opens up into a fair amount of space. Well decorated, and a pretty good atmosphere for the story. There's a good amount of the environment that's built into several of the puzzles, even despite some of it not appearing to be. Takes some investigation for bits and pieces of the room. Great use of puzzles as well. There's only one lock in the entire room and that's for a door. The rest of the puzzles are a part of the room. A few puzzles are moderately challenging, but for the most part its a solidly well leveled room in terms of difficulty.

A surprisingly great room! Atmosphere is fantastic, gives a very Japanese-esque house/doll vibe. There's great use of tech in this room, no puzzles lead to any code or physical locks. Plenty of tech in the atmosphere and ambiance. Quite a bit of ambiance are tech involved. Puzzles are pretty good, as mentioned there are no simple combination/code locks, everything is puzzles that involve the ambiance and are very integrated into the environment. Story is good, nothing particularly different necessarily, but the story wrapped around the atmosphere definitely knocks it up several notches comparatively. Definitely recommend.

This is a great room! The atmosphere is good, reminiscent of slasher films. First room I constantly felt like I needed to wipe my shoes off before going inside, it was that good. Puzzles are pretty good, I would say they fit the theme pretty well. Good use of tech in this room, a lot of maglock style of releases. I hesitate to say that there was anything broken persay, but a few maglocks in our visit failed to release on queue. I know they can be slightly finicky, and they did release on the GM's command. The rest of the tech usage was spot on and worked great for the room. Probably my favorite room out of the 3 at this location.

**beta test** Did this room back in August as a beta test, wasnt available to review. Fantastic atmoshere, again normal for Quest Room, but definitely well above others. Puzzles were on theme, and while a few were not quite working right during the beta, they made sense and were appropriate. Story fit the room well as well. Overall puzzles were moderately non linear. A few very cool puzzles that were implemented. I'm sure this will be an amazing room when it opens.

Highly interactive, live acting room. Makes the room very immersive. The puzzles are solid, and the live acting adds a sense of pressure, but not in a fully scare room tactic, at least till the end. It's sort of a build till the end. Puzzles are great, all seem appropriate, given the story. Room is decently full of effects and atmosphere is fantastic.

Non linear style room that's pretty challenging in nature. What you're solving is pretty close to the actual puzzle/lock/whatever you're solving it for, so it does make it a little easier to figure out. Still, the puzzles were pretty challenging and we escaped with something like 30 seconds to go. The actual puzzles themselves made you think for the most part, although at least one we overthought. Needed a few prods, but we figured them out.

*Purgatory mode for Halloween* Fantastic combination of haunt vibes with puzzle elements in an escape room package. Puzzles are overall not terribly hard, I would say mostly medium level, however, a lot of the difficulty relies on people being jumpy or scared of the environment. A few difficulty elements rely on going back to face the demons again, i.e. "oh no, you left something back in the other room!". Puzzles are mostly mechanical in nature, though there's a few that are tech based. Environment and audio are fantastic. Room is a great design with haunt-like elements if you're into that thing. I've worked home haunts so design was great for me, although spooky nature is up in the air. Acting was fantastic, and actors knew how to scare within their environment. Mostly played along, did have my shoes stolen, so possible be prepared to be the one walking around without your shoes! Anyone uneasy about the "stun pen" they used, they mostly used it for effect. They did not get in your face and shock you with it. If you're being chased in a tight space though, possibly expect to get hit in the butt with it or similar. Just feels like a bit of pressure though, so don't let that deter you!

This is a great room. Did not know the story of the Ghost Light. There's plenty of clever puzzles in here. All puzzles are very on theme with good usage of mostly everything in the room. There's a great ending to the room as well.

This is an immersive theater. This was quite frankly amazing and I don't think I saw more than 30-40% of it, and that's purely speculation. There is just so much to see and experience inside. Pick a character to follow, or explore on your own. There's multiple floors, and it's all fascinating to see.
