Quite challenging yet all the information and links connecting puzzle elements were there. It was different having some elements used more than once but in different ways AND we were informed during briefing so it wasn’t misleading. It’s always a tricky balance allowing the kids to have fun while maintaining some order and puzzle processing. Our host did an amazing job of the right clues at the right time to aid in the right balance. We were so close and on the final puzzle so he let us finish it out which took a couple extra minutes. The love this game was built with is palpable in the atmosphere:)

There were some broken pieces not essential to game play which should probably be fixed or removed to limit confusion or future breakage. Game monitor was helpful and friendly. We had a good time and it was a plus in tying up our vaca

Baker Street MysteryEscape Hour Gig HarborEscape roomIRLThe game itself was a ok. The issue being the clue system and game monitor. The clues were given via an old telephone in a British accent which none of us could hear or understand and stated so. We asked again and again and we’re given the same clue in the same manner over and over again and we were left stuck unable to proceed for over 20mins. We continued to attempt to figure it out regardless but the lack of proper game assistance (understandable and timely) was frustrating and demoralizing and greatly impacted our whole experience.
Dead Man's CoveEntangled - LynnwoodEscape roomIRLUnique game play, neat concept. Game itself played well. Questionable walking surfaces however with lots of “trip” areas. Dark is a common theme of escape rooms but also the most frustrating when no one in the team has good eyesight to start with. There were lanterns in the room and after the game they showed us how to turn them up. Perhaps this is part of the puzzle meant to add difficulty if players don’t figure it out but it did ruin it some for us especially since this was a very rare family experience. Post game photo was also not done well which was disappointing. Game play good. Overall experience not as much.
Operation TakeoutExitus : Salem Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLLoved that it was well lit, a unique and adorable room and our host was fabulous:) loved that clues were not limited and having the choice to have a walkthrough of what we didn’t complete. Least favorite was symbol deciphering. It’s always my weakness and stumps me every time.
