Mafia: The Golden Ring
Adventure Rooms - Melbourne (Bourke St)
Escape room
IRL
My eleven year old and I completed this room. The room would definitely suit a minimum of two experienced players or more than two players. Definitely one of the more challenging rooms we have done. Great puzzles. The Game Master was awesome and gave us a few more minutes so that we could finish the room. We did utilise the clues they gave along the way.
Hacksaw II
Rush Escape Game - South Yarra
Escape room

Players are separated to begin with. Enjoyed this room as it has a spooky element (think the movie Saw). Room requires for players to work together. Puzzles were medium-hard. Lots of fun
The Gaol Break
Adventure Rooms - Melbourne (Little Collins St)
Escape room
IRL
Game was enjoyable. It’s a classical gaol break style game. Nothing particularly too challenging. Great game to play with kids
Unseen
Lost in Melbourne - Exhibition Street
Escape room
IRL
This room was the right level of spooky. I completed this with my eleven year old and it did help knowing there wasn’t any live actors. There is a unique travel space that I haven’t experienced in any other room. Theming was awesome and the use of sound effects was appropriate.
Its Nightmare
Rush Escape Game - South Yarra
Escape room
IRL
Room theming was good. There was only one puzzle which was a “key-to-a-key” which they could probably skip or redo. Overall the puzzles and theming were good
The Black Queen
Adventure Rooms - Melbourne (Little Collins St)
Escape room
IRL
This was a fun room with a few different type of puzzles
Secret Agent Man
Rush Escape Game - South Yarra
Escape room
IRL
Non-linear room so could start on a couple of things. Multiple puzzle types to satisfy everyone’s preference. Only one issue with the cords to the final puzzle being fiddly. It did cause us to waste unnecessary time finding alternatives only to find out that we had it correct the first time but the cords were a little fiddly.
The Nun
Lost in Melbourne - Exhibition Street
Escape room
IRL
This room had a great scary eerie theme to it. Although we were aware of no live actors, the anticipation of jump scares kept us on our toes. This room was completed by myself and my eleven year and we both enjoyed the room. I am on the shorter side and there were three things in particular that we needed to find something to stand on to reach or see through. I did find some of the puzzles (when you had to read hidden things) difficult to read (probably just needs to be retouched up). The theming and props were great
Monsters Inc
Rush Escape Game - South Yarra
Escape room
IRL
I have done a couple of Monsters Inc themed rooms and this wasn’t my favourite. Props felt a little dated and slightly dirty. It did not flow very well and it was a little confusing whether we completed the room.
Ninja

This room was well themed and definitely a physical room (not so great if you have had ACL reconstructive surgery 😝) but hella fun. I completed this along with my eleven year old and we really enjoyed ourselves. The puzzles were interactive and the use of projectors really complemented the room. Kids would love this room
