Boda Borg Boston QuestsBoda Borg - BostonEscape roomOther Overall concept was neat. Some of the rooms were frustrating and, like others have said, it was unclear where the failure lay as sometimes it was the tech and others just part of the learning process. Staff were not as readily available as we were lead to believe. Don’t go on the weekends or during school breaks!! Groups of young kids rudely knock on doors and run around, despite rules against this (again, no staff presence). Some rooms were very worn out and are in need of cleaning and upkeep. But there was some fun there, for sure. Absolutely not ADA compliant.
The ObservatoryThe Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLVery unique and cool theme! Our time was how much time was left, rather than how much had elapsed. Lots of puzzles and a bit overwhelming at first, but like an elephant — one bite at a time!
Imaginasium of IntrigueRi Riddle RoomEscape roomIRLWe had a great time. The bonus puzzles were a wonderful touch and were clearly marked. We were able to use our leftover time to finish more of them. The sound wasn’t on the whole time and might have added more to them ambiance. Some parts were less polished than others but it was a lot of fun overall. Could have been done by 2 people; we had 4 and had 2 work main story and 2 work bonus puzzles most times. Worked for us! Too many more people would have been crowded.
Baker Street MysteryExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLA bit disappointing after having first done the Lucky Strike Diner, which had unique theming. This theme is a bit overdone but not their fault. Some unique puzzles. Nothing too surprising. Not all puzzles seemed to follow theme and some seemed a stretch. But overall it was entertaining and fun! Staff is friendly and helpful. Debrief afterwards is a nice addition!
Prohibition: The Lucky Duck SpeakeasyEscape LGEscape roomIRLThere were some neat puzzles, and the theme was nice, but many of the puzzles had solutions that seemed very far-fetched. The room was very old and tired and really could use some touchup.
Eclipse [VR]Zone 518Escape roomIRLIt was a bit chonky but overall OK. There are some jump scares, which we were not expecting. It was fine for a first time VR experience but it was hard to interact with the environment which took away some of the immersive-ness of it. Ok room for beginners.
