This maze does an excellent job at making you feel small, and the visuals combined with the excellent sound design make the maze a uniquely gross haunt. Being the size of an insect is made as horrifying and there's a sense of relief when you leave the maze and feel normal sized again. It's definitely not for the faint of heart
Wax WorksKnott’s Scary FarmHauntHaunted houseThe story was solid, but the excellent body horror was easily the star of the show. The horrific fleshy abominations look like something straight out of a Junji Ito panel. The actors' role is much more minor than most other haunts, but them going about some of their creepy tasks is a lot scarier than just jumpscaring you.
Terror Tram: The Exterminatorz [Season 2023]Halloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted trailI feel like 2023's Terror Tram made the studio tour worse but not scarier. The fumigation tarps weren't interesting to look at and it felt like it detracted from some of the iconic sets by covering stuff up. The actors outfits were similarly bland, and the term "Squooge" was too goofy to actually be scared by the apple pie scent.
