Never HouseDarkParkEscape roomTabletopNever House is hands-down the best at-home escape room / puzzle box I've ever played. The puzzles, companion video and websites, prop quality, and emotionally engaging storyline were all top notch. This is a must play! There were several moments where my friend and I had our jaws drop because we were so surprised and engaged by the game.
Witchery SpellDarkParkEscape roomTabletopHaving played numerous tabletop escape rooms, I came into Witchery Spell by Darkpark with high expectations, especially given Darkpark’s reputation for quality. The game certainly delivered on immersive theming and high-quality props, which helped create a strong atmosphere right from the start. However, in terms of puzzle design, Witchery Spell fell short. While I enjoyed two specific reveals, which provided exciting moments of discovery, the majority of puzzles were repetitive, often just asking players to follow instructions and identify specific words on the many sheets of paper provided. This instruction-following format left me feeling more like I was going through a workbook than solving engaging puzzles. Witchery Spell was ultimately disappointing. Compared to DarkPark’s Never House, which my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed for its storytelling and props, Witchery Spell was a weaker entry in their lineup.
Chapter II: Warehouse on the WharfMysterious Package Company | Curious CorrespondenceEscape roomTabletopGreat improvement over the first game due to challenging puzzles and very clever use of materials.
