This is not a linear room but it is a spectacular room! Our group finished in average time but didn’t break Neil Patrick Harris’ record. We crushed the first puzzle in the top 5% (2:29 vs the average of 6:19). If you love books, adventure, and teamwork, this is a must-try. The ore room tested us with tricky math, but the clever object reuses and adorable hint system made it unforgettable.
Lab Rat
Hatch Escapes
Escape room

Test Group D turned out to be the perfect batch of humans; we escaped with 8:37 left on the clock and never had to use the "idiot button." You can tell a lot of love went into the set - we actually felt like we were rats in an experiment gone wrong with a human sized hamster wheel, feeder tube (that'll get you wet), and treats you have to eat. The final room was a funny test and my favorite part of the "experiment.” For more escape room adventures, reviews, and discounts, follow @alyssaexplores on all social media platforms

Not a huge fan of horror but I’m a huge fan of this room. Don’t let fear hold you back. This game is comical and creepy with some jump scares. You start off blind folded and separated but end up working together to escape with all your limbs…and maybe a few extra. Someone better know how to use a locker lock and communication is imperative. Just when you think it’s over, it’s not.
Escobar: Part 1 (The Betrayal)
The Escape Revolution
Escape room
IRL
Make Pablo Proud 📁 Case No. 41: ESCOBAR The year is 1993. You’re working for Pablo Escobar in Medellin, Colombia when one of his most trusted allies betrays him. In his rage, Escobar takes out the informer who is the only one who knows where Escobar’s money and passport are hidden. The DEA are on their way. Can you find the items and escape? 🚨 Tip: Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. We barely escaped with our lives. It went down to the wire and I really mean DOWN. TO. THE. WIRE. ⏰ There were 0 seconds on the clock when we sent the final signal and escaped. This room stands apart from other escape rooms but you’ll have to play for yourself to find out why! The Escape Revolution just announced that they’re creating a new room which is a continuation of Escobar titled Chapter 2. Our crew will be reassembling to try and escape again. We booked this room originally for two with a promo code. I had a friend want to play last minute and they paid on the spot but were overcharged. We didn’t figure it out until we left. We called back and after some back and forth, they refunded us. If you book during the day and not on peak times, it costs less. If you look for the like green or pink times on their website, those are the lower prices/discounted times. They have a small lot for parking in the back of their building but we had to call for them to remove the chain that was blocking people from just driving up and parking there.
Twenty Ghosts of Christmas
Brain Games Escape Room

We stepped into a haunted attic brimming with holiday mystery! Guided by a quirky elf who shared each ghost’s backstory, we sought to bring peace to the restless spirits. The more, the merrier applies to players in this room since there are an insane amount of puzzles. We built a toy train, snagged a prize from the claw machine, crushed Simon Says, and wrestled a bear to banish the cursed cookie and save Christmas from crumbling. Shoutout to Dan our festive and funny game master who had us laughing during the entire experience!
Red Giant
Quest Room - Hollywood

Indiana Jones has nothing on our crew. We came, we saw, we conquered the Pink Pyramid! We escaped with 10 minutes of oxygen left. A group size of 2-4 would be best since the rooms are compact like a tomb. The set was spectacular with realistic explosions, moving walls, fog, and skeletons. It wasn’t puzzle heavy but the final task shattered our expectations and left us in awe.
Black Dragon
Escape Room LA
Escape room

I played my first escape room here back in 2016 so I thought it would be full circle to play my 50th escape room here. I was in the promo video for Black Dragon last year so I came back with two friends to finally play the room. Our game master was nice but seemed inexperienced. We explained that we wanted to be paced and to escape so if she saw us struggling, she could give us clues. We got stuck after the first room and I was in one room waving my hands and asking for a clue and we never got any help. Only when we were down to three minutes did she come around and try to give us a clue but it was too late. We were two puzzles away from finishing when time ran out. It was really disappointing. So I’ll say the experience was subpar but the set and puzzles were done well. Step into 1960’s Hong Kong and stop the black triad gang from taking over the city. When you enter the first restaurant, you start by eating real fortune cookies and piecing together clues from inside them. The set is massive so a large group will help divide and conquer. There are a wide variety of puzzles that involve staying on your toes (literally). Keep your eyes peeled and read wisely.
Battleship
Deceptive Games

Bombs (and friendships) away! Dive into a life-size game of battleship where every puzzle solved earns you cannonballs to sink your rival’s fleet. Teamwork ends as soon as you place your ships on the board. There are puzzles galore—so many that even the best crews haven’t solved them all. With countless riddles, word scrambles, and scavenger hunts, this is the ultimate test for extreme competitors. I would have loved if there was a creative way to get hints for puzzles. Sometimes we were a small nudge away from solving something.
An Office Escape

Our first day at a quirky Paper Company, a very special award went missing. On our mission to find it, we saved Prison Mike from the dementors, cleaned up Kevin’s famous chili, and figured out the Scranton Strangler’s next move. This room has bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica galore but parkour is prohibited. We are still waiting to hear about our promotion to “Assistant Regional Manager.” Tony was our game master and he was such a wonderful human.
Santa’s Naughty or Nice List
Wild Goose Escapes - Irvine

Festive from start to finish, this game was built just for Christmas instead of being a holiday version of an existing game. Your mission: pull off a big act of kindness or sneak into Santa's house and add your name to the nice list. The set is for holiday enthusiasts — it even snows! Find your inner child and play with toys like a remote-control car. We got off the naughty list with time to enjoy Santa’s milk and cookies (because we’re naughty at heart). Shoutout to Keefer, our game master and guide to the North Pole who helped our crew get into the Christmas spirit!
