Cinema SlasherKnott’s Scary FarmHauntHaunted houseWhat a fun slasher themed walk thru 2024 is great too! Hardly a wait
Mesmer: Sideshow Of The MindKnott’s Scary FarmHauntHaunted houseLove this theme! The actors were great each time we went through. The scenery is well done.
Creep LA: GhostsJust Fix It ProductionsHauntOther JFI does an incredible job with creep again this year. The building you start in is themed to CBS’s ghosts. There is a fun intro video that plays while you’re meandering through a beautifully decorated living room area and of course there’s a photo for creep. That is very much the traditional creep photo in black-and-white. When your group is called to go across the street to the building where the show takes place you’ll be asked to turn off your cell phone and follow them across the street. Then it turns into a creep production that is not really related to CBS ghosts TV show aside from the fact that, the theme is ghosts. it’s a beautiful building with stunning set design, special effects, lighting, sound, and of course fog the actors doing incredible job. Some of the scenes are more intense than others. One is quite heartbreaking and almost hard to watch but a stunning piece of Acting. My favorite moments are always the ones that make me laugh or scare me and there are plenty of those as well. A highlight for me was a moment about midway through the show or everyone gets their own personal interaction with one of two actors.
The 17th DoorThe 17th DoorHauntHaunted houseI won’t give it a rating because personally I didn’t like it but I think they do what they set out to do 100% and so if you like this style of haunt they are the best hands down. If you don’t like being frat hazed by a bunch of monsters then you will probably dislike it.
Dark Ride: Castle of ChaosKnott’s Scary FarmHauntHaunted houseDark Ride is one of my all time favorite theme park haunts! It’s so clever and unique. It really feels like you’re waking through an old fashioned dark ride. It’s disorienting use of space is wonderfully done.
The Red CastleDelusionHauntHaunted houseI LOVED it! This is in my top 3 Delusions of all the years. I was thoroughly impressed by the space, flow of the show and the amount of personalized interactions. I can recall 2 major and 5 minor personal interactions I had in the show and Jeremiah had 2 major and 1 minor as well. My favorite moment was just myself and one other participant with an actor that felt like something straight out of the Shining and it’s was soooooo amazingly fun and exhilarating. Overall the storytelling was clear, the actors were great, the stunts were much more limited this year but still wonderful, the venue was stunning and it was a fun and immersive experience. Wear comfortable shoes, there are A LOT of stairs and a small area of uneven ground. It was cool outside in the waiting area but moving around in the show I definitely got a little warm and would’ve liked to have taken my hoodie off but I was too engaged to do it. Our show was opening weekend and they were having some technical difficulties that got them a bit behind schedule so we had extra time to eat cheesecake on a stick and watch the magician before starting a bit late. That said, we had no technical issues that we were aware of in our show. If you have never been to Delusion you will still be able to follow and enjoy the show with no extra backstory. I highly recommend!!! I was invited as media to cover this event on a night open to the public.
CarnEvilKnott’s Scary FarmHauntScare zoneI could watch them all night! Most rambunctious crew in the park every year!!! Strong characters. Strong scares.
