Moriarty's ManorMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLSUCH AN AWESOME ROOM! It was so much fun and had so many cool puzzles. The set was beautifully designed and felt very immersive. I might argue that this should be a 75 min experience due to the high number of puzzles it has. If you are inexperienced with escape rooms, I would not be afraid to ask for hints as it was a difficult room and there are a lot of little cool details Sherlock himself might miss! We were a group of six with lots of experience and still only made it out with 35 seconds left after asking for 5 hints total.
The EscapeThe Unlockables - San DiegoEscape roomIRLI loved the amount of teamwork this game required - you really do have to collaborate well with your group to escape successfully (especially in the beginning ;) ). The way the game was set up was very memorable and the story was a lot of fun!
Hunting Dracula [Formerly "V"]Locked AdventuresEscape roomIRLVery cool room and theme. We had a lot of fun and we’re definitely grateful we had 90 min. Game master was awesome too as well as all the staff that helped us. We were a group of 3 with mixed experience levels and needed hints, so definitely be prepared for a challenge. I will say that while it’s innovative, these high tech rooms can be a little frustrating sometimes because we often weren’t sure if we were successful and spent a lot of time trying to look for confirmation that we did a puzzle right (for example, a lot of times things will pop open if you did it right and it took awhile to find such items). Sometimes audio clues were hard to hear as well. I also thought the gameplay was a lot more fun in the first half of the experience and gradually kind of tapered off.
Sister's SecretThe Unlockables - San DiegoEscape roomIRLProbably my favorite escape room so far! There were so many fun twists and lots of puzzles to do. My group of three was kept busy for the whole game, so I definitely recommend a bigger group for beginners! Also, I’m a huge scaredy cat, but still had fun so while it’s a horror themed room it’s not too bad! There are no live actors and I don’t recall a ton a jump scares.
Pirates of the Mediterranean: The Curse of the Crystal CavernTop Tier Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLOne of the more immersive sets I’ve seen! Set design was incredible. There are a LOT of visual clues that are easy to miss so this is definitely on the more challenging side, but lots of fun and unique puzzles.
ArcadeEscape EraEscape roomIRLThis room was a lot of fun but HARD. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this for beginners. But it had a great puzzle flow and all of the arcade decor was super cool.
Oracle MysteryThe Unlockables - PowayEscape roomIRLThis room was on the spooky side but was not over the top scary and had a lot of cool puzzles! Lots of fun witchy/occult themed props and decor that made the room a lot of fun.
The Curse Of KV62Locked AdventuresEscape roomIRLThis was one of my first “high tech” rooms and I was blown away by how cool all the puzzles were! I didn’t love not having a countdown timer in the room because I kept panicking about how much time we had left and probably would’ve not been so eager to ask for hints if I had a better sense of our time remaining. However, I understand the reasoning as it did keep the room on theme.
Y2K VirusThe Unlockables - PowayEscape roomIRLThis room was so well-decorated and had such a fun vibe. Definitely a great room for beginners as it was fairly easy but I still had a great time. My only complaint was that I wish there were more puzzles so I could spend more time in the room!
Exit ProtocolThe Unlockables - PowayEscape roomIRLOne of the hardest games I’ve played so far but it was a lot of fun! Required a lot of teamwork (which I love) and had a lot of cool surprises.
