The Christmas Treehouse EscapeConfusion EscapesEscape roomIRLOverall, a really amazing room and we had a fantastic time. The owner and game master was wonderful. The room design is stunning and so immersive. Important to note that this is a 70 minute room, not the standard hour. A few hiccups for us: - The lighting is dim. It lends to the overall ambiance, so I get it. They did provide two of us with clip flashlights, but it was impossible for one person to pinch the light to operate it while also trying to work a lock. One lock in particular had very very tiny numbers and we only had one person in our group of four who could both read it and turn the tiny dials. - We struggled quite a bit with the puzzles. That said, we had a very green group. This was my fourth room, another person had done one other, and our other two people had never done an escape room. They were fantastic with hints, but we needed a lot of them. :) - There was no countdown clock, so if you want to know where you’re at on time, you’ll need to ask. - There we’re a number of counting puzzles, but no writing device, so bring your memory!! We had a great time and all four of us want to come back to do the regular treehouse when it is back!
KnightFallExodus Escape Room - Rancho CucamongaEscape roomIRLWould definitely recommend. The sets and immersion at Exodus are spot on, which we loved. This room had a great mix of both mechanical and tech locks, and several puzzles which really had us talking about them afterwards. Clever and intelligent design.
The Hunt: Peter's Escape AdventureOver The Moon Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWhile we did not complete the room, we really enjoyed the theming and the puzzles. We got very hung up going the wrong direction at the beginning, and really laughed at ourselves after we got back on track. The room is mostly mechanical locks, but there are a few tech elements - they threw us for a loop since we were so focused on the mechanical locks! Be aware that room is very dimly lit and has two especially small mechanical locks which can be a challenge to manipulate and to see. The numbers on those two locks are 1/8” or slightly smaller.
Down The Rabbit HoleTrapped! Escape Room - UplandEscape roomIRLA very mixed room for me., which ultimately landed below the bar. Loved, loved, loved the decor. A couple of really fun a-ha moments. But the puzzle flow was lacking, and there are a few we likely couldn’t have solved without hints, even given lots of time. With a few hints we were out with 15 minutes to spare, leaving us feeling like there should have been more.

The Phantom Of The OperaOver The Moon Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLLoved the theming of the room, and LOVED the staff. This room was very dim, which made it very difficult for our particular group. And please, do yourself a favor - 3 adults, max. You’ll enjoy it more.
Patient ZeroFort Wayne Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis was the very first escape room for our entire group of seven and we all had a blast! It’s probably still my favorite that I’ve done, and I’m so sad to see it’s now closed!
Captain's DungeonInland Empire Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI had only done one other room before this one, and took five others with me who had never done a room before. We had a blast. It took quite a few hints, but the owner/game master was fantastic, giving clues that helped put us on the right track without taking away the fun of figuring it out. The one downside for me was that they didn’t go through any of the lock types ahead of time, so when we got to some of them - like the directional lock - we weren’t sure how to use it, or how to reset it. So time was wasted figuring that out and getting hints for that. A quick explanation of the locks for newbies would have been helpful.
Tomb Of PharaohUnity Escape Rooms - Rancho CucamongaEscape roomIRLOverall we had fun, but it just wasn’t great in any way - though our game master was wonderful. There were some fun nods to Indian Jones movie scenes and that was my favorite part. The overall design elements felt old, but not in an old Egypt sort of way, more in a “this should be replaced” sort of way. Several of the technical components didn’t work as designed. Having one TV screen for time and hints but multiple rooms was a pain - having to go back and forth to check.
