The CabinThe Cipher Room NewtownEscape roomIRLCompleted with 5 people and no hints. This was one of my best escape room experienced! Set design was top notch and puzzles were all creative and fun. A lot of creative thinking was used rather than brainy problem solving. Often there were 2-3 things that can be worked on so a bigger group can multitask.
Dr. MMission Escape Pitt StEscape roomIRLFinished the room with a team of 4 without hints. Was a really great room! A good mix of mechanical and tech, problem solving moments and fun activity moments. I thought the environment and puzzles were well integrated with the theme and story progression, which a lot of other escape room places don't always do well. Immersion was fantastic!

Zodiac KillerFox In A Box FirenzeEscape roomIRLCompleted with 2 people with 1 min left. We had heals of fun! The room had a great atmosphere that was spookier as we progressed. You'd want least one brave member for one of the scary steps. Enjoyed the variety of puzzle types and mechanics. Requested hints once because it turned out we cheesed an earlier puzzle and didn't collect all the info - that being said, it felt a little odd that older clue items were re-used for later puzzles. Had a few other hints when we were missing something that was game-changing (like an early clue to free a teammate) or if we didn't know how to use an item (instructions could help, but it would ruin the immersion a bit I guess). GM was super nice and gave us fun stories of what happened with other teams. Overall a terrific experience. :)
Il Delitto PerfettoTribe Escape RoomEscape roomIRLEscaped with 2 people, only required one hint because we lost a clue (short piece of paper fell behind furniture and we couldn't retrieve it). Was very fun! Set was fantastic and some puzzles were unique (great use of the environment) but some were not the best written (cheesable or had bad clues). Got kind of lost with the plot and what we were doing. There were info in bits and pieces as we progressed but it was difficult to pay attention and work out the story, would have preferred it was spelt out for us more clearly. The GM had to debrief the story for us at the end for the ending to be impactful.
The Abandoned ClinicMission-Q PenangEscape roomIRLCompleted solo with ~15min left. Very cheap room (35RM pp) and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants an actual escape room experience (or anyone with visual/mobility impairment). It's very dilapidated, like they just found some space behind the walls and called it an escape room. Very dusty walls (previous players have written in the dust like graffiti) and some debris, broken lights, which all seem very authentic. I don't think they ever clean this room. Puzzles were bad and unsatisfying and clues were poor. When requesting clues they have to actually come into the room because there is no intercom. Some safety concerns. Some doors stuck. When I went the entry door was actually broken and they had to chop it off to let me in. Was overall a comedic and eye opening experience but not for good reasons. Staff seemed nice though (and apologetic for the broken entry door).
