Journal 29Journal29Escape roomTabletopA classic I devoured in a single sitting. I find its use of the book as a medium pretty innovative in a way; and despite sometimes needing the forum hints (without which some puzzles are blind, as no signposting is often present), the clever use of external material and the continuous link to previous solutions is what makes the strongest point of Journal29, imo.
Journal 29 RevelationJournal29Escape roomTabletopWhile in some ways similar to its predecessor, it tries to be non-repetitive by adding a story to interweave with the puzzles, but that doesn't enrich the experience at all; it is a backdrop and an absurdist/post-apocalyptic (?) one with little to no resolution. The puzzles are still well designed, but help from the forum is often needed on the basis. I still enjoyed the need to use outside knowledge/materials for some of them.
