The actors and their interactions with our group is what made this so fun and memorable. Don’t go for the puzzles - which are perfectly fine - but go for the experience!

Clever puzzles - some of them artfully handmade - and clear story that was engaging and appropriate to the WWII theme. Proves that you can create a great game with good puzzles, an immersive setting and good story - fancy technology wasn’t part of the game and wasn’t needed at all!
Sky OdysseyMaze Rooms - VermontEscape roomIRLSky Odyssey in 3 words: old, cheap, broken. Possibly one of the worst escape rooms I’ve done. Fake plastic leaves, cotton ball clouds and worn out props. There is no logical progression through the game. They actually gave us a chart of all the puzzles at the start so we’d know what to do - instead of designing a game that logically leads players through it. Worst thing was that almost none of the electronics were working, so the game master was obviously controlling when things opened or activated. But the game master seemed very unfamiliar with the game, so we continually had various things opening at random times even though we had done nothing to make them open. It created confusion and frustration. The sad and decrepit condition of the props and set - nothing seems to be maintained or repaired - shows a company with no interest in players experience, only in collecting their money.

RevolutionNo. 1 EscapesEscape roomIRLMost of the people in our group of 9 were standing around chatting because there is not nearly enough to do in this game for more than 3-4 players max. They actually allow up to 12 to book the game … don’t do it!! The space is small and not very well designed. There are just so many more better choices than this.
