Magician's WorkshopEscape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLSO FREAKING COOL. The puzzles were very creative and the atmosphere was AMAZING. Our game master said it was their hardest room, but I wouldn't say it was too hard. We still felt challenged though. 11/10 would recommend.
The Blind Tiger SpeakeasyExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLthis is the first room my friends and i escaped from using 0 clues!! the room was so freaking cool and all the puzzles were unique yet very fitting to the room. absolutely loved every minute of it!!!
Sir Ripple Sugartons Candy FactoryEscapopolisEscape roomIRLoh?? my?? gosh??? top 3 rooms of mine for sure. great staff and really great puzzles and even better atmosphere
The Wizard RealmPuzzle Theory - South WindsorEscape roomIRLmy dad and i did this room together while on a road trip. this was my first time doing a room with just my dad, and we escaped with about 17 minutes left!! we needed a hint to get started, and one or two in the middle, but overall most things made sense to us. the experience started before we even got into the room. we actually "forged" acceptance letters that the employee added to the room before letting us in. that was a fun little touch that made me even more excited for the puzzle solving to begin. the timer was weird: instead of an actual timer, it was a progress counter. if the expected progress reached 100%, your hour was up. it was definitely a different system than i've seen before, and it had its pros and cons. at the beginning the expected progress was around 30% and we were still at 0%, making me panic a bit. eventually we worked our way up and achieved 60% progress when that was expected, and escaped when the expected progress was at 70%. if i'm ever in town again, i would definitely go back to this place.
Santa’s Holiday Hat HuntExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLthis is a great room for beginners and young children. we did this room because we were on a time crunch but really wanted to do a second room, and my friends and i are on a mission to complete all the rooms here so we said why not do this one. each puzzle has a hint as to what information you need in order to solve that puzzle. for a beginner or a young kid, that would help out a lot. it made the room super easy for us - 4 mid-experienced teens - but i honestly appreciated the built-in hints.
The Egyptian Tomb: Imhotep's CurseEscape Room Mystery - King Of PrussiaEscape roomIRLThis room was nice and it definitely was not what we were expecting (in a good way). I will say though, the curtains in the first room got very annoying as we kept running around the room trying to connect puzzles. Also, the final puzzle was sort of lame. Everything in between was pretty simple if you didn't overthink it and had all the right pieces (which we often did not because we didn't look hard enough lol). Other than the little annoyances it was a great room and I would recommend trying it!
Revolution Spies - Patriotism!Escape Room Mystery - King Of PrussiaEscape roomIRLwe did this room after the blind tiger speakeasy at expedition escape with zero clues which was a phenomenal room. we've also done some rooms here so we sort of knew what to expect. however, we needed a clue to start almost every puzzle. this could've been because we were on a high horse or it could've been the room or a mix of both, but the room was frustrating as it felt like most puzzles were a stretch at the start.
Three Suns CantinaExit 4 - GlassboroEscape roomIRLdid this room for father's day and my huge-nerd dad absolutely loved the room design!! all of the puzzles were creative, made logical sense, and fit with the story. we only really needed one clue to escape and my team was me, my grandpa who's done two or three rooms before, and my mom, dad, and sister who have all done their fair share of rooms themselves. definitely recommend!!
Area 51 - AnnihilationEscape Room Mystery - King Of PrussiaEscape roomIRLTo be honest, not my favorite room. Every little creak made us jump (not their fault we were just scaredy cats lol). One puzzle we solved one way but then were sent a clue when we starting working on the second part saying we had a "lucky guess" and we did the puzzle wrong, while our logic behind our "guess" also made sense. One puzzle with a magnet was fidgety and our game master literally came in the room twice to make sure it was working. Cool room, nice vibes, mid puzzles (except for the music related one. loved that one). Still recommend if you want to finish the puzzle magnets.
